Charlie Watts, the elegant and distinguished drummer of the Rolling Stones, has passed away at age 80. A great rock and roll and jazz drummer who was very understated (IMO) and will be missed.

Charlie was the rock of the Stones. He will be missed. Talented, especially as a jazz drummer. Self taught with no lessons, just great listening skills. And from what I’ve read, a true gentleman. Me may be up in heaven playing drums with the Everly Brothers, now that Don passed away last week.
