Yeah, I saw a lot of people doing that too. but still coming up short, on the air. Mine even has 2 air screws on the bottom, and 2 air holes on the sides of the base. The choke point is the center air tube. They could have put a dozen air inlets on the base, and it wouldn’t have made a difference.
The base on the left, is the stock air tube. The one on the right is the one I drilled out. You can see how puny the hole is on the stock tube.
Maybe they were afraid people would be snapping off the air tube, while screwing it in. There’s not as much ‘meat’ left. There’s plenty still there, in my opinion, as long as you don’t over torque the screw. It seems to hold the positive post in place just fine.
Just did coil (1.74) and rayon. Juiced it up. What a difference. Now the two air screws actually have an effect on the air flow. I have to say, the air & draw on this is perfect, for me & my MTL style, now.
I started with the air screws flush with the bottom of the base. I tried turning them in one turn, and it’s just a hair more air, than my Nautilus Mini. I’ll try it out there for a bit, and see how it goes.
Ya checked some reviews on ozvape forum, doesnt seem good, says the shipping is pretty high. Ill let you know how i go with MFS. Bough 1 litre which are on sale now so cheap. Man I wish I was in the US.
Hey ozo, I’m running my Avocado 22mm differently today, and it is CHUCKING CLOUDS!
I still have a SS NotchCoil in it which is .29 ohms, but now I’m running it in TC mode on a Sigelei Mini: 485 F and 22 watts. That is so weird that it’s running extremely well at 22 watts because I had to run it at =/> 35-38 watts in Power mode. To refill in single coil mode, I still do have to use my tweezers to remove the ceramic block, but it’s become habit. Oh well. I’m vaping FA Marzipan with a little TPA Custard.
Using a single coil build, right? I just use my fingernail and thumb to pull out the ceramic block.

I ordered some notched coils to try… I now have three Avocado’s , one to send to my Brother in Australia, and I should have my authentic Avocado 24 by Monday.

I have a 0.5ohm Kanthal single coil in my Avocado 22 at 30W and it has worked great.
I was gonna build a dual coil in the other Avocado 22 [why I bought it] but I got a notification
that the Avocado 24 was shipping soon, so I decided to wait on it to do a dual coil build.
Sent one Avocado 22 to my Brother in OZ, my spare is still un-opened.
