The Unity was my goto, but you have to get the wicking down or you’ll become very frustrated. Once you get it, you’re good to go, It’s not hard at all. Lot’s of videos out there to help. Just remember to cut your wicks like a

I don’t know of any mesh rta that can accept VV spool mesh without trimming, the Hadar mesh rda is the only mesh tank I know of that doesn’t need trimming, it is pretty good too.
Ditto to what @Lostmarbles said about the 1.5.
The Doom X is really easy to wick and haven’t had any leaking problems. Not as much time spent with the Zeus X mesh so I will defer to Lostmarbles on that.
@Lostmarbles have you tried the dual series mesh deck for the steam crave Titan? That is really good, bad part is a 40mm tank but the flavor is outstanding

They are quite easy to wick once you get the hang of it.
I start cutting about 1/4" beyond the base to 1/4" at the mesh. Fluff and tuck into cotton retaining ring.

its been a while since i used one , almost 2 years, idk. but i remember that not working for me.
a few times i got it good, the other times, not so much. new gear came in and they got put on the shelf.

I keep 2 Profile’s (OG) on the table next to me loaded with flavors at all times. Best flavor bangers I have. Wicked so many times I can do it in my sleep. Got so used to it I wicked my Kylin M the Same out of habit. Big mistake! The rabbit ears were too large for the chamber.
The Profile needs the ears on top of the coil.

I agree …I picked up 3 profile M’s, 2 Zeus mesh
And a Kylin … Love the M’s and the Zeus meshs’ alot … Great flavor …no leaks… The Kylin mesh not so much … I just think the flavor on the first 2 is way better… But I’m an og Profile rda lover too… Never liked tanks until the mesh rtas came out.

I thought the Kylin M would be too airy for me. I’ve already ordered the Doom X (I had to do a quick double-check while writing this) from FT during their sale. OMG, I don’t even want to think how much I spent during those 24 hours!

I broke down and got a Red/Black Zeus Mesh from Element Vape while waiting on a Black one from FT. It’s my first mesh atty ever, and I really like it. 
The airflow is just like my Zeus Nanos, and I’m vaping it at around 40W (still playing with that).
My initial wicking took a bit. I didn’t think to test that the cotton was firmly against the mesh. One vape and I figured out real fast something was wrong. LOL But you’re right, no leaks. I tend to leave my mods on their sides I haven’t had any probs with this tank so far.
I do have a question about which would be the best VV spool mesh to get. I usually vape at lower wattage, so should I get the 80 mesh Kanthal, the 200 mesh SS, or the Ni80?

I picked up a blue Zeus to put on top of my Aegis Legend blue Zeus LE… Looks good …my other one is blk… Stocked up on mesh … I’m good with about 150 mesh strips… For awhile anyway…lol

Your good with the Doom X and just read the owners manual to learn how to wick it. Don’t watch Mike Vapes video on YT as he did it wrong.

The 200 SS mesh is the most popular for a reason. It is a thin mesh though so you have to be careful not to bend it when pulling your wicks through.

Don’t think wattage. Think Ohms of the mesh or any coil really. The lower the ohms the higher the wattage. If you want to vape at 30-35 watts I would be looking for a mesh coil coming in at .20 .25 or higher.

So of those 3 mesh spools, I’ll get the highest resistance with the SS 200 mesh? I just really prefer a cooler vape.
I’ve read about cutting the VV mesh to match the size of whatever their atty normally uses, but there’s something I’ve not understood. People keep saying to cut it “from the edge.” Am I being dense that I don’t get wth they’re meaning? There’s only two ways it can be cut, length and width, right? Am I missing something here?

Damn Vape makes the Intense Mesh MTL RDA. I just got one, but it’s my first RDA, and also I’m VERY new to mesh, so I’m the wrong person to offer an opinion. (especially since I tried to put it on My new Luxotic MF, then the battery door fell off).
