RX200 or iStick 200?

I want to get a decent budget 3 battery mod. So far I have found these two RX200 and a iStick 200 that seem decent for the price. Which would you recommend, or have any better suggestions? Trying to stay at or under $40 price tag (fasttech price for those are 38ish for rx200 and 34 for the istick)

RX200 for sure. Actually I would get the RX200S. I have both and the istick is a cheap piece of junk that lasted less than a month. I took it apart and am going to build a squonk mod with the chip so I am not too dissapointed.

What is difference between rx200 and rx200s?

“Reuleaux RX200S, another innovative version of Reuleaux series, still
features the unique exterior design and variable temperature control
function.
In addition to the high power output of 200W, the improved 0.96inch OLED
screen which presents all parameters more clearly is a bright spot of
the device. Also, the upgradeable firmware will enable your device
always up to date.”

So basically it has a better screen.

Has way better screen.
Also the RX200S has TCR mode.

The price is almost the same as an RX200. So i would go for the 200S.

Just a better screen

I’d say rx200 too. If the istick 200 is built anything like the istick 100, stay far away.

I’ve used the rx200s and the fire button is a little bigger and more responsive than the original. It also shows the current draw as well.

I like my RX200
It is as advertised
Only complaint is really don’t seem to get any more battery life out of the third battery vs the two in my other mods
Just my experience
And keeping married 2 sets of batteries is more a pain to me for to little reward but I do it with 1 four bank chargers
6 dedicated batteries for my rx200 my 2 battery devices last about the same as the 3 in rx

I have both and if I had to choose, I’d go with the new RX200S.

The original RX200 has an inferior screen and most importantly, not a true spring connector. I believe the “spring” is just a rubber boot that when compressed too far, will stay compressed. I have that problem with mine and will now only work with an atomizer base with a longer than average 510 connector. The RX200S I believe was upgraded with a true spring connector.

The istick 100W TC is a fair device but is made of inferior components. Under the buttons are very thin metal disks that flex when contacted. If they should get any juice on them (through leaking bases or maybe high humidity) and become sticky, will remain “pushed down”. Example: The “-” button is stuck and the mod is constantly adjusting down its values. There is no way to fix this without taking it apart and even if you do take it apart and clean it, it’s no guarantee that it won’t happen again. It’s a shame really as when it worked it was my goto mod.

You may or may not have the same experiences with these two. Just passing along what happened to mine.

For what it’s worth, I would highly recommend the Hohm Wrecker G2. A little bit of a learning curve but it works very well. You can even get TC of sorts to work with Kanthal. If you’re considering it, make sure you get the G2 not the G1. The G1 is extremely difficult when it comes to the right batteries.

Also out of my price range by quite a lot

Refurbished. Code: G2REFB
I just did a test and the code appears to be working. I bought the refurb and it’s pristine. Full warranty, new box, manual etc. I really couldn’t be happier.
