The boy’s Ramen noodle packs came yesterday afternoon. He was quite pleased to have his favorite lunch back today.
Back in the day… my favorite thing to do was warm a brandy snifter of Drambuie
over a hot cup of coffee; this, after a pleasant evening dinner out with my spouse.
Subsequently, after abstaining from alcohol and during my early mixing days, I failed spectacularly at creating an eliquid which was a likeness to Drambuie! Nothing will ever begin to replace the real deal.
Mmmm, I heat the glass sometimes and then pour some
I remember that I left the failed spectacularly out of that quote.
Your effort was admirable, sadly nothing came of it. I was looking forward to it and thought that if anybody could pull it off it would be you.
Alas
Hehe… ok, maybe it wasn’t a complete flop. My recipe notes said I liked it!
And one can still get Angelica at ECX/Flavor Jungle… that was the magic ingredient

It’s on Super Sale too! $.49 … #silverlining!
Not after they add shipping fees
Well I got a TON of mixing done these past few weeks, and I just washed all my pajamas so I’m good to go for another week!

Wentzville’s General Motors plant preparing to reopen
Hopefully good news. That’s the largest employer in that area and has been sidelined for over a month.
Found a new silver lining today. Usually this time of year you can’t walk into Walmart, Sam’s, Costco or half the grocery stores without being accosted by hordes of cheerleaders, Little League players, Scouts or what other gimme gimme group there is at the entrance who are trying to extract money from your pockets. I’d say it’s been the case for at least a month, but I just noticed. Now you no longer have to time your entry to avoid their gaze. They just aren’t there. Hallelujah. Amen.
I have a spreadsheet of various automotive plants in the country. GM / Wentzville shows to be opening on May 4 but only to 25% production. However they will ramp up the following 2 weeks to near full production.
Now if they could just learn to offload a truck in less than 5 hours, that would be real progress
Wowie Zowie ! If glowing Tobacco plants do not warm the heart, it is hard to imagine what might !

(Science Alert, April 27, 2020 - with a delightful YouTub video embedded):
“Scientists Engineer Gorgeous Glowing Plants That Shine Bright Their Entire Life Cycle”
The glowing greenhouse of our dreams is still so very far away, but it just got a tantalising nudge closer. Scientists have genetically engineered a plant with not just a visible glow, but a self-sustaining glow that lasts for the duration of the plant’s life cycle.
I still have two tobacco plants that survived the winter. Flowers are on the way but mine don’t glow
They are opening up the schools again at half capacity next week.
Time to go back and do some lunchbreak and earn some of that much needed extra dough
The 2020 Gerber Baby (named Magnolia) reminds me so much of my dear friend Kendra as an infant:
