Oh great @Lynda_Marie, more pressure !!!
Kdding…
To the well trained observer, you might notice my Creme de la Creme bottle has MY label on it. Yeah, I already picked up a big bottle, un-tested, and still bought big.
Yup. Probably a flavor of the year for me.
Oh man, you guys are killing me with the Creme de la Creme accolades. I could’ve had it by now. @Mikser Flavor of the Year?!!! You’re not pulling my leg are ya?
It is pretty damn good. I been using it a lot more
Alright alright you guys, stop rubbing it in
I’m not. Ask @Lynda_Marie what’s her FOTY. hehe. (i’m guessing here, but it would be interesting to know)
There’s a high competition in the world of Vanillas and to be distinctive enough or the one that comes up first on your mind when you need vanilla in (nearly) anything, makes it a masterpiece. Clearly a large step ahead of competition. It’s the one that you’ll want to get a big bottle despite you already have 70 other vanillas and you probably thought you don’t need another one.
Well this right here is an important subject for me. I love vanilla and am not always happy with all the vanillas I’ve tried despite others saying they are good. I know Lynda is a vanilla freak like me so I’m taking this seriously. Thx Mikser.
Just remember that now you or SD or everyone else who’d buy it will have very high expectations and a disappointment is more likely than if you weren’t prepared. You’re kicked stronger if you don’t expect it.
Yes. I agree.
Wowza, this can only be a toss up between 3 for me. The only full releases I’ve done this year so far are SSA,Capella, JF and the whole Nomz SC line. Nothing in the older (first release of 2024) SSA, cap or JF jumped out at me that I loved. The 101 Nomz line, however, There’s 3. Banana, biscuit shortbread and Vanilla ice cream. . Ssa shortbread is pretty much interchangeable with Nom. LB vanilla ice cream is also interchangeable with Nom but….drum roll please…Banana SC Nomz would have to be my #1 so far this year. Only because in my opinion, there isn’t another once quite as good. It’ll stay in my stash and I don’t mix bananas too often, but it’s that good that I have mixed with it a few times and will mix with it again. It’s in a league of its own. If I’m being fair, that’s how it has to be, it got a 10/10 from me. Are you surprised?
Is it a natural banana? I can tolerate natural banana and prefer it. Anything on the candied/runt spectrum icks me.
Zero candy in that Nomz banana. It’s my top banana flavor. Even their banana candy is pretty authentic tasting.
I get runtyness from all bananas not that i hate it. The nomz to me is less runt but not like full natural banana. More like the banana you get in a italian ice where its not runty but still a bit artificial creamy tasting. I think thats the best you can really hope for in a banana vape though
I appreciate your opinions and it helps but it only shows that we all taste differently and I can’t get away without buying it myself and testing. Sometimes I wonder why I even ask. Sorry, I’m in a foul mood right now.
Its a great banana so you should def try it
Cherry Maraschino (SSA) 1% (10-28-24) – Having had stellar luck with SSA’s Ripe Cherry, I thought this one, would be RIGHT up the same alley. Now it was, but KINDA. It did present as a really good Mara Cherry, BUT, it tasted like it was tempered with another cherry type, maybe a cherry compote, but not 100% sure. At 1% it was perfectly strong, and sweetness was just below mid-level, with no overt squirrely notes. Continued testing proved to make it very hard to accurately nail down the “other” cherry element, so I’ll probably have to leave it at a compote. Now, the ratio between the Mara cherry and “compote” was close to 65% Maraschino Cherry and 35% Cherry Compote if that helps explain it better. Not bad, not bad at all, just not a 100% Maraschino to my tastes. There was a very nice light fizzyness, almost fermented kick on the finish that I wouldn’t normally expect from a Mara, and that may have been from the “other” elelement, but not sure. All in, a very good cherry, just not a 100% Maraschino. I decided to leave it still fairly high, at a 7.0/10.
Cocoa Milk (SSA) 1% (10-28-24) – Holy Mother of Cocoa Onrush !!! OK, hehe, wow. During the FIRST test with this one, I was struck by how deliciously, I was hit with the initial onrush of Cocoa. Very tasty, accurate, and rich. That was followed by more of a creamy-ish, almost milky finish. Maybe whole milk might be a better description of the milk element, but it was still somewhat creamy, and rich. The Cocoa hit you right away, and was very accurate, and in NO way could be confused with ANY other chocolate type, it was 100% cocoa.
The pairing of the Cocoa and creamy milk was very well done, and it wasn’t mashed up, but clearly delivered a One, Two punch assualt, and it was delicious. At 1% it was spot on strong, with no need to increase. Sweetness was actually a few ticks below mid-level, and I could detect NO off-notes. Sobucky’s rendering of a dried cocoa powder was really impressive. Now it wasn’t dry, and maybe that magic came from the smart pairing with the creamy milk. At 65 watts, it didn’t scorch at all, or have any bitterness to speak of, and I actually had a very hard time finding nit-picks. I guess if I had to REALLY dig deep in the nit-pick bag, I might want just a hint more milky milky-ness, but even that my friends, was barely worth mentioning. All in, if you are a Cocoa lover, you’re going to love this one. I can’t go lower than 9.9/10 on this one.
Two things come to mind while still finishing up the delicious, rich Cocoa Milk. Is it the same as MB’s Cocoa Milk ?? I don’t know, I’ve never tried or tested MB’s version.
How would the Cocoa Milk do in a S’mores ?? !!!
