Hi,
I use one of these as my main mod. Over time, the display can become foggy. Simply wiping the display won’t work, because the condensation is on the inside.
I’m posting this in case someone else has the same problem, and wanted to save them trouble:
- Don’t unscrew everything and take it apart! This is not necessary, and will not work. I tried this first, but with the newer revision of the H-PRIV, you can’t reach it due to protective foam. Older revisions seem to be missing the foam, but you’d still have trouble.
- The OLED display and the acrylic “external” screen (think of it like a sneeze guard) are not the same thing. The OLED display is not fogged up; the sneeze guard is.
- Grab (carefully) an x-acto or hobby knife. Wedge it into the edge of the external screen and pry it off completely. To be clear, cut along the orange line:
- Squirt (a little) glass or monitor cleaner onto a microfiber rag. Wipe the condensation from the reverse side of the external screen.
- Press the screen back in place. It should stick to the remaining adhesive.
