How is Sugar Cookie v2 compared to v1? can i use it in recipes instead of v1?
@palamakis welcome to ELR. IMO some of the v2’s while “safer” are/were often times NOT “tastier”. Often times the “bad” components were removed, and “safer” components like BA (vomit) were added in place.
CAP Sugar Cookie v.2 is one of the few(er) ones that isn’t terrible in comparison to the v.1. I perfer the v.1 as it just seemed to have more grainy-ness, and a richer, buttery-er undertone than the v.2.
Again, if you have the v.2 it will work fine and can be sub’d for recipes using the v.1.
Personally, for me, the v2 is a bit more “cakey” like fluffier and less dense as v1. Definitely interchangeable as they taste very similar. Depending on the recipe I’m mixing I’d rather v2. It’s more fluffy, less grainy if that makes sense. Also as Session Drummer said, generally the v2’s have the bad stuff replaced with BA but I don’t get that in this case.
