High amounts of sweeteners are one part but like @Plunderdrum just said the commercial guys have clean rooms , they have ways tonkeep the oxygen out of the bottles , they are probably using certain acids to make things pop more … ive always believed that mixing in a clean room vs your garage could possibly make a difference , but i would put the best of diy up against the best commercial juice any day and bet diy would have better recipes , especially since so many diy mixers actually provide big companies with recipes…
im not complaining about the clone. im talking about how these juices smell so damn good when you buy from a shop but yet when I make it here at home…its not the same…there’s more to it then sweetener
You are missing the point of what i wanted to say so i’m retracting myself from this conversation.
I have done some reading. some reading I don’t understand. I was never really that good with reading and math. I have read many things on here and at the end of the day…I didn’t understand any of it. im more of a video guy or hands on. sitting down and reading doesn’t do anything for me. it only makes it that much worse and tough for me to understand. I hate reading…Im not calm enough to read. born with A.D.D and have never taken meds for it so im pretty much a bouncing ball all over the fkn place…honestly
cool. .
that’s the kind of treatment I get from other vapors lol…but yet that’s never happen to me when it comes to cigg smokers. smh
Sorry, man. I didn’t realize you had an untreated disorder. Just do your way, but please keep at it. If you can put more of your energy into getting the recipe where you like it, screw what anyone else says about it. Cheers.
bryan, its the way you come across , what you need to realize is that this is an everyday thing for many of us , the diy scene is a way of life almost . We are at this every day trying new things , helping each other , learning and teaching and when someone doesnt stop and listen and try to take the advice in it becomes frustrating , yoy have to make a choice , either your in this 100 or your just here to save a few bucks … just calm down, take a breath , read , experiment try lots of recipes then adjust those to what you like… the difference between a person who does diy and a smoker is the smoker has no passion its not a hobby … listen to what others are saying … and try to enjoy this , at times you will get fed up and when you do thats when you decide if your gonna keep on pushing through the frustration or quit…
we are here to help , so if you want it youll get it , thats up to you ,
Are fruits and creams what you like to vape ???
May I ask you a question? Do you mix for other people too? Or just for yourself?
I like strawberry taffy cream vape. cheesecake juices. Hawaiian punch juice. blueberry cream…but I like in your face juices. 10% and 13% is for kids…not for me.
I mix for myself, girlfriend and 3 of my friends that I grew up with…so they can save money…they don’t pay me…I don’t care for that
Bryan, I didn’t see where you actually say ‘I don’t like the clone’? Maybe I missed it. It seems you’re more interested in other people’s opinions? I mix for myself, if someone likes a mix of mine great. However I don’t lose any sleep over not getting any ‘likes’ on one of my mixes.
Keeping me off the smokes is the goal for me.
The reason I asked is because I remember my first few months of diy, I would give my mix to friends to get some feedback. Never had a good one.
It’s not until I realized that diy means making good recipes that I myself can enjoy. After that, and a lot of reading and learning, it became easier, I just mix whatever seems to be good for myself.
As to your original question, yes, it’s got to be more than sweetener. What cuttwood put in their mix to make it smell good is probably never known to us who doesnt work there.
Disappointing? Yes. But then again, if you found your mix is good for yourself to vape, who cares what others think?
Just mix recipes that you think you can enjoy. Good luck to you!
I want to clear something so everybody knows. im not just talking top premium juices from a shop…im also talking house juices that are also made at a vape shop. their house juices are beautiful but mine suck and they taste flat so then I raise the percentage and then it becomes a big ass mess and it all muted. I cant win for shit here…there’s a secret that nobody is telling…that’s what I believe.
also… where can I get some ETHYL ALCOHOL? or is that inside of different flavors?
Just read this after i post…
Ask them what they want, and mix to their preference. But seriously, if your mix is good enough for you all to enjoy, that should be enough for now, right? After you got better hang of it, I’m sure you could make killer juice for everyone you mix for.
are you talking about flavor percentage ??? if so , thats a rookie statement , i have recipes as low as 3 percent that will blow your socks off packed with flavor … btw Nothing related to vaping is for kids , can you link your flavor stash ? id love to look at it
I have no clue why unless you are into producing your own concentrates but google is great
https://www.google.com/search?q=ETHYL+ALCOHOL&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS744US744&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjZh8X--aHeAhVL0lMKHYb-C20Q_AUIDigB&biw=1366&bih=664
IMHO, it’s prbably because they use different flavorings than you or they use their flavoring at their most optimal percentages.
Too much flavorings could mute your mix too.
Did you ever do DIY cigarettes too? Getting fresh tobacco leaves, cut them up, mix them in the right ratios, add the necessary additives so you can keep it a while without getting bone dry? Buying your pack of cigs or tobacco in a shop is not comparable to what you’re asking/saying here. smh too
Everybody here is telling you. It’s not a secret, it takes time and effort. It takes shaking off your preconceived notions of what flavor % means, what to expect from a published recipe, and how to ask for advice. We’re all here to help.
Pushing up the % does not equal more flavor.
What I was saying about reading days and days of material doesn’t mean I opened up ELR and just started reading. I searched for subjects, questions, flavors, issues I was having and read, asked questions, opened up topics if I couldn’t find an answer. It’s very interactive if you do it right. It isn’t just sitting and reading like a text book.
