This worked perfectly. I used a cheapy mechanical pencil, took the guts out and saved the tip and end cap. Fed the wire through and replaced the eraser to put some tension on the wire. I have shaky hands so the other methods didn’t work for me. This one was a charm. I can only do about 7 or 8 inches before I become unsteady, but it works!

This looks a lot more simple than my method. I’ve master the way I do it but I think I can find some use for this one too. I’m glad you broke your clapton cherry. Looking forward to seeing your builds.
