What up vapefam!
SirRisc is back on this sunny Tuesday with another juicy review!
On todays menu is a Bulgarian line up of diketone free liquids, known as The Chosen Few.
4 tasty flabkurvz (inside joke) with a unique profile!
Premise.

The Chosen Few is one of the first European juicemakers I know of that has a full line up that is entirely diketone free.
While there are only four flavors to choose from for now, they’re all very intricate in their own regard.
The recipes are original, complex and developed to be all day vapes without added diacetyl or AP.
The Chosen Few is also a daily visitor of our ecr_eu IRC channel, and is genuinely a nice guy though a little rough around the edges sometimes.
We love him all the same though, he makes great juice.

Description on the website:
An effervescent blackcurrant grapes blend with menthol and tropical fruit notes. Ophelia’s light coldness and refreshing taste make her perfect for the warm days!
My review:
Scent: A sharp tropical scent with notes of blackcurrant
Color: A clear liquid with no noteable color
Taste: The blackcurrant is fairly dominant but not overpowering the tropical notes.
The blackcurrant profile is something that doesn’t get used often enough in liquids, and this makes Ophelia a liquid that stands out right away.
The subtle tropical notes make the vape sweeter and fills the gap between sour and sweet.
The menthol is mildly elusive and will only serve as a freshening accent, not so much as a flavor but still giving you that cool inhale.
It’s a full bodied and fresh summer vape that grows on you from the first puff, it’s moreish. Very moreish!

Description on the website:
A medley of darker berries with a slight sourness, combined with vanilla cream. A well-rounded vape that will intrigue your taste buds!
My review:
Scent: A blend of berries softened by cream
Color: A clear brown/yellow-ish liquid
Taste: A smooth blend of berries with vanilla cream fills your olfactory on the inhale, a full on sweet blend that tickles you in all the right places.
Sweet yet very soft vanilla pokes through every now and then, rounding off the sweeter notes with a mellow touch.
The exhale however turns a little sour and tart while the creamy base lingers for a bit, it’ll catch you by surprise.
It’s a delicious and devious juice that will indeed intrigue the tastebuds, the flavor changes slightly when running at higher wattages but stays smooth along the range.
Definitely a surprising flavor, a high quality ADV made for quiet contemplation.

Description on the website:
A creamy banana supplemented by bakery, nutty and caramel undertones. A subtle vape that is guaranteed to leave you wanting more!
My review:
Scent: A candy-esque banana, mixed with subtle notes of nuts and cream (Stop laughing!)
Color: Clear with a brownish hue
Taste: The inhale consists of a mostly nutty flavor mixed with a subtle candy banana.
The banana pokes through a bit more on the exhale and tastes rather sugary, though that could be the caramel rearing its head.
The flavor does linger for quite some time, and doesn’t feel like a bakery flavor. In fact it’s the banana that lingers with the nutty accents.
It’s less creamy and more earthy than I expected and it feels as if there’s something I’m missing in the profile.
Despite the fact that I think it’s a little too artificial in terms of banana flavor, the nutty accent and creamy base work very well together making it a sweet but tasty vape.
Not the best, but definitely not bad! Maybe it needs to grow on me a bit…
(Banana, nuts, grow… either the internet has ruined me, or this review just got filled with inuendo.)

Description on the website:
A sweet, heavy strawberry with rich cream, swirled with vanilla and a cloud of heaven. Sit back and enjoy the velvet smoothness of Gabby!
My review:
Scent: A sharp strawberry entwined with a soft note of vanilla
Color: Amber with a slight orange hue
Taste: Much like Cloud Company Arise, I can’t fault this liquid in any way. I really can’t.
Gabriella is a creamy mix of strawberries that seem to be freshly picked and then dipped in powdered sugar, and a soft vanilla which is indeed a cloud of heaven.
The strawberries feel sweet yet fresh, they dominate the profile but in a good way.
The sweetness is within bounds and seems to come from both the strawberry and the cream, it is by all means practically perfect.
Despite being sweet and very, very creamy, the juice doesn’t put you off after a few milliliters… Oh no, it demands that you vape more of it.
So… The Chosen Few, when are we getting 100ml bottles of this stuff? Dibs on the first one!

Addendum.
I was recently asked how I score my juice reviews, so I figured I’d include a little about my way of working.
For starters, I spend at least one day vaping the same juice in different setups to see how it does as a ADV.
This also means I can see how the environment changes the flavorprofile, vaping a juice outside will taste different from vaping a juice inside.
If you don’t believe me, try it. Go outside, take a deep toot and pay attention to the flavorprofile. Now do the same indoors.
The difference is subtle most of the time, but it’s there. This is also the reason why I love vaping fruit/menthol in the summer.
Tasting sessions always include three things: Different atties, different wattages, and rewicking.
I test every juice in a couple of different atties, both drippers and tanks.
Most juices will change when you push higher wattages and thus higher temperatures, so I use wattages ranging from 15W to 100W most of the time.
Rewicking is something that isn’t really necessary considering I use cellucotton (rayon) most of the time, but I do it anyway to avoid crosscontamination of flavors.
My builds also vary but usually I go for dual coils at 0.4ohm. This is my sweet spot and I know how flavors should develop there.
In terms of scoring, every review is an independent score meaning I don’t take any other juice reviews into consideration.
For example when I recently reviewed Cloud Company, I didn’t take into consideration how it measured up to the original Suicide Bunny juice.
Every juice is scored on a 0 to 10 scale in their own regard then scaled against the other juices of the lineup if it’s a single manufacturer.
The score is based on the intricacy of the recipe, tasting notes, viability for the juice to be an ADV, overall flavor and feel, throat hit, thickness of the liquid, etc…
Packaging is something I will take into consideration but usually not for the scoring part.
There are two exceptions for this rule:
- If your labels are obviously marketing to children I will immediately deduct 5 points, regardless of how good your juice is.
- If you use packaging that isn’t childproof or leaks I will immediately deduct 5 points regardless of how good your juice is.
Scoring doesn’t change based on whether or not I received the juice for review, every juice gets the same treatment and scrutiny.
You can send me a years worth of juice and still get a bad review if the juice isn’t up to snuff.
In that same line of thinking you could send me a 5ml sample in a childproof bottle labeled with a post-it note and get a great review if the juice is good.
It really doesn’t matter how much value it holds or how many people are saying it’s “the bestestest juice evah! GET HYPE!”, my review → my opinion → my score.
I hope that clears up the mystery a little bit…

In conclusion.
The Chosen few is a new brand but proves that you can be original with flavors.
Gabriella is a slice of heaven in its own regard and makes for a perfect ADV, Lilith is a perfect blend of berries and vanilla cream, and I think I may be in love with Ophelias fresh exhale.
I’m not overly fond of Ishmael, despite knowing that the recipe did take a lot of work. After all, taste is subjective and it might appeal more to others, it’s just not for me.
In short, I’m convinced that The Chosen Few is a vendor I’ll be returning to.
And on a personal note, I’m proud to say this is now the second vendor to use photos of mine for their website!
In closing I would like to thank The Chosen few for sending me the entire range for review. Keep up the good work!
And of course thank you all for reading, I do hope my reviews help you find that one perfect vape!
I’m always looking for more opportunities to review, so get in touch if you want me to review something from you!
I can be reached on via DM on Instagram, via DM on Reddit, or via DM on ELR.
Juice, RTA, RDA, mods… it’s all welcome and I’m sure we can work something out!
