There’s a couple around me that still sell mods, they don’t have anything too crazy though. They have hand wrapped coils, stuff like dead rabbit RDA/RTAs, a small section of mods, and a massive shelf of juice. They’re good in a pinch, but I don’t go very often. Got my dead rabbit 3 RTA at one.
Yeah, the golden age of vape shops is definitely over.

New Blog Post: Popcorn Lung, Facebook Fear, and a Chat With My Mom
We’ve all seen those scary headlines — “Vaping causes popcorn lung!” — usually followed by someone’s aunt chiming in on Facebook to warn the world. I had a long chat with my own mom about it, and I decided it was time to put pen to paper (or hoof to keyboard) and clear the air once and for all.
This one’s for every confused parent, every misled mate, and every vaper who’s tired of fighting fiction with facts.

— The Old Goat
Omg, funny story. I was at an event the other night, I saw a little area by the fence between the grandstands and bathroom I decided to go to the corner and vape. As discretely as I could, I blew clouds down and outside of the fence. Outta nowhere, 6 cigarette smokers popped up and one by one began lighting cigarettes. Lmao I was trying to just not be rude and bother the people in the stands. I’m not sure if I was actually in a regular smoking spot or had inadvertantly attracted the attention of smokers by vaping in the corner. It just looked like 1 person began smoking and other people saw an followed.
Im not bothered by cigarette smoke all that much, unfortunately when there was like 5 people smoking at once I could taste it through my vape.
Good read, btw.
@Old_Goat I remember when FINALLY, that little detail was openly revealed/discussed. I.e. the actual diac levels in the WORST vapes, vs. cigarettes. A GLARING omission in the “study”, and I use that term loosely.
I got curious and browsed reddit “cigarette” forum for a minute. It’s just depressing. I feel like I’m a little biased, but compared to the vape subreddit it just gives off low vibrations. It’s literally just people posting pictures of cigarettes in their hand, or teenage girls smoking a cigarette.
The vape forum on the other hand, it full of people’s colorful and unique looking mods, there’s not really anyone just posting pictures of themselves blowing vape clouds. Makes the cigarette forum look more like a cry for help.
Idgaf if people choose to smoke, but looking at that cigarettes forum is just straight depressing. Kills me they’d rather smoke cigarettes than have cool mods with tasty juice.
Freedom Means Choice — Even If You Don’t Like That Choice
I fired off another blog post that’s likely to ruffle a few feathers — and that’s exactly the point.
It’s about vaping, sure. But it’s also about something bigger: the right to make your own damn decisions, even if someone else thinks they’re stupid. Whether it’s vaping, drinking coffee at midnight, or wearing Crocs in public — it’s your life, your lungs, your choice.
If you’re tired of being treated like a child by people who think they know what’s best for you, give it a read.
Freedom Means Choice — Even If You Don’t Like That Choice
Drop a comment if you’ve got thoughts, or just want to tell me I’ve lost the plot. I can take it. I’m a goat, not a snowflake.
Good read. You have a nice writing style for blogs, really. If you could get them to show up on Google searches you’d for sure get more traffic. Idk what that all entails.
Totally agree with you though. Attacking vape flavors instead of things that are actually harmful is all about $$$$. Completely rediculous. I can only imagine the amount of time, bribes, money and resources that go into the process banning vape flavors. It’s just a freaking joke. Like you said, they pursue this instead of going after things that are actually deadly and dangerous.
I like the picture too lol. Going on my own mini rant… Clearly it’s old school punk, and not the bs people dress up and pretend to be today. These days, the mainstream has totally killed punk and what it stood for. They parades it’s bedraggled corpse on puppet strings. Somehow, anti-establishment became some derranged form of pro-establishment. Stole the ideas and warped them until they were complete non-sense. I literally watched it happen before my eyes, it was a blatant attempt to blindfold people and steer them away from the truth.
Right? It’s mad how hard they push flavour bans while real dangers skate by untouched — all about that sweet, sweet tax money and lobby cash.
Glad you liked the blog and the pic! That’s my old punk soul showing. You nailed it — what used to be a middle finger to the system now feels like it’s just playing dress-up for the same machine it once raged against. It’s wild watching rebellion get corporatized.
And yeah, I’m trying to get the site ranking higher on Google, but I’m just a stubborn goat with a keyboard — not a web dev. Every comment on the site helps push it up, though. So if you’ve got a minute, drop that mini rant over there too! I’m already begging for tips just to keep the lights on, never mind hiring someone who actually knows what they’re doing
Appreciate the support — keep raising hell.
Big shoutout to @Mediocre_Remedial for not just reading my latest blog, but actually dropping a comment on the website itself. That, right there, helps a lot. Every comment tells the Google overlords, “Hey, this site ain’t dead,” which means I’ve got a better shot at someone actually finding it when they search for real vaping info instead of the usual fear-mongering garbage.
I’m also trying out something new — an AI tool called NotebookLM. Fed it a few rants, and boom, it turns them into audio. Basically a podcast, Old Goat style. Still figuring out what to do with the audio (YouTube? Instagram reels? Smoke signals?), but it’s one more way to keep the herd growing.
If you like the work, leave a comment, share the blog, or hell — toss a tip my way if you can. Keeping this site alive costs more than just caffeine and rage, and I’m doing it all solo with no big sponsor behind me.

Wow, I should really not type on my phone, auto correct is not my friend. I had to edit this twice now.
LOL make that 4 times.
I didn’t see a comment section below the article. What am I missing?
Thanks D-Man.
