For a while now, I’ve been awaiting another atomizer which rivals the Kayfun 5 (w/ SS tank installed); my daily work carry, withstanding phenomenal abuse.
My wait is over; the Blaze ticks all the right boxes. I have purchased 2 of them and have no complaints, thus far.
Shipping is from China; received mine in 12 days, no issues.
The atty itself is fantastic. A quality engineered little bit of kit. Wicks like a dream and is dead easy to build on. Feels like it’ll stand up to years of knocking around.
I’ll be honest, hearing this from someone who’s already using a Kayfun for reference kinda bums me out.
I picked up a couple of these Blaze MTLs in an attempt to eliminate my reliance on pods for my high nic 50/50 juice.
10 times out of 10 I prefer open DL. Big, dual coil vaping. But there’s solid chunks of my days that I just need less vapor. A couple of pods have filled this role exceptionally well. I just hate being reliant on something I can’t rebuild myself.
I’ve been building this thing every which way I can. 12W tight MTL up to 34W RDL. Plain wire, clapton, micro fused clapton, MTL aliens, all of it. It does it all very well. But I cannot get the flavor to touch what I can get out of the pods. I guess it’s not the device, it’s just me.
Knowing I’m not going to get any better with something like a Kayfun or a Taifun or a Dvarw or a Bishop is great news for MTLers looking for a fresh RTA. For me it just means that I’m going to be stashing these away for the day I truly cannot get good pods anymore.
Ive heard some good things about ThunderCloud, a brand that is closely tied to THC. I just ordered the Blaze 24 rda this week, may have to look into that mtl setup as Ive never mtl’d myself, but do like rta’s better than rda’s … now it’s got me thinking
I’ve tried a bunch of stuff only to put it back in the box and throw it in the closet.
But taking a look at what I currently have on the shelf in active rotation, most of what isn’t SteamCrave is Thunder Cloud or THC.
And I think quality has even taken a step up since the transition from THC. I’ve been impressed by everything I’ve picked up from them, especially considering the mass production price point.
The fact that they slap a youtubers name on everything they put out is an ick, but I also understand that it’s one of the only ways to get any kind of advertising exposure in this market space.
