That scale is the first thing I bought. Figured I’d definitely need one. Have a dew bottles, right now only 6. But definitely need more.

Definitely looks easier than a sharpie.

The consumables are definitely a good idea. I just figured she was/seems to be on-board…sooo, the cool stuff. Already she has been asking if i could try to make this and that flavors…i just smile and say sure…gonna need these flavors.

The mixer was more for the mixing and getting it mixed well, not so much the steeping side of it. But…if they don’t work not much point.

Nice list there. Why the glass bottles for the nic?

I keep all my nic in amber glass bottles. Right now I’m using five year old nic broken down into 30ml bottles kept in the freezer. Nic is broken down from liter bottle.
I normally mix nothing larger than 60mls at a time and rotate about 30+ mixed flavors that take me about two months to get through a 60ml.
Haven’t gotten vaper’s tongue in over two years.

@Oldguynew2diy glass is the LEAST reactive, and permeable so you can keep your NIC as fresh as possible in the freezer. Also with the Wheaton bottles, they have very solid conical seals, so once they’re tight, they’re tight.

Storing NIC in any plastic bottles for extended times is not good. Because base NIC is strong, it can attack the plastic material, there can be leeching, air penetration, and poor caps will add to the issues of oxidizing your NIC.

@Oldguynew2diy all of the above And a mixing book to write all those recipes and tasting notes everything on paper ,never lost. Then you need a dedicated mix area never torn down or packed away always available and you’ll be happy forever

Yep, I used a few things over the years and finally landed on tape, a sharpie and a numbering system. Only my 180 ml mixes are named. It’s so much easier.

My 501 is 7 years old and survived my son’s school experiments. Got a spare as well. I’m sure most of us old timers have spares of everything.

Thanks for the tips. Knew none of that. Guess i need atleast 1 glass bottle for now.

So far…no complaints on the 501. I do find i have to wait a bit for it to settle when using it.

It does seem to be quite sensitive such as a fan blowing in its direction or my cat walking on my desk.

My freezer is set to zero degrees F. It never freezes solid. It is more in the state of molasses and won’t draw up in a fine needle syringe. Left out at room temperature for 30 minutes it’s thin enough to mix with at 100mg/ml PG.

My Christmas list as follows

Bottles- 15/30/120/500 mls
Vg/pg
Gift cards to Nomz, Bull city and DIYVS

:smirk: that covers everything I think

I don’t use beakers or anything like that.

I’d love a homogenizer, specifically the game changer, but they aren’t in production anymore.

I find leaning on the counter can affect.
