… because it just might be.
WOW, talk about “Final Destination” like stuff, my co-worker’s son, had a REAL close brush with death, and he’s LUCKY to be alive. A car coming the opposite direction veered off the road, took out a telephone pole, and brought down all of the wires, ACROSS the road. My coworker’s Son was traveling the opposite direction, and at about 55 mph, ran INTO the wires. His words, “By the grace of God, and my hood, I’m still alive today…”

Wasn’t his time, but got a reminder of how quickly things can change.
I lost my best friend to a cerebral aneurysm at the age of 19. Totally freak thing. It sucked. About 8-10 years later, his grandfather was on the back 9 of the local course, had just teed off and was walking down the fairway to continue. He looked at his golf partner, said, “Shit.” and dropped from an aortic aneurysm. No warning, no chest pains that he complained of, just flipped a switch and gone. I urged the rest of the family to get scanned for any ticking time bombs but they all decided against it. Two years later, the youngest in the brood died from another cerebral aneurysm.
You never know when it’s your time, so definitely live each day to it’s fullest potential, I guess is the point I’m getting at. Glad to hear your friend’s son is doing alright!

Thanks a lot @paingawd. He’s still pretty shaken up from it. He’s a paramedic, so he sees the worst of the worst on the daily, and is still trying to figure out how/why the steel cable didn’t cut the entire roof off of the car.

Power lines have claimed many a crop duster pilot. I’ve lost more than one good friend that way.
Today wasn’t his day
.
Remember to tell the ones you love that you do, often
