Trouble with the cost function of the recipes

I have entered the quantity and price info for each of my 70 stash flavors. I have clicked on the save button many, many times. Every time I open my list of stash flavors, the quantity info is there, but the price info has disappeared. I thought maybe the price info required a $ prefix, so I laboriously re-entered all 70 prices. Saved, saved, and saved again.

Alas, whenever I return to my stash list, poof, no cost info. Recipes show $0.00 cost, and clicking on the ? button just highlights the list of flavors in red. I have entered and saved all the base and nicotine info in my preferences, and that info does NOT disappear, it is only my stash flavoring list cost info.

Am I missing a simple detail, here?

Works for me. I assume you have entered ml’s too.

Btw- rather then do all 70 whilst you troubleshoot. Just do a recipe.

Yes, the milliliters stay, the entered cost just vanishes. Maybe I have cookies turned off or some other goofy setting. I haven’t screwed with the specific gravity settings, but then I want those to default to manufacturer’s specs.

Yeah, entering that complete list twice taught me to just try one ingredient at a time, grin.

PS I just tried saving everything on my first stash flavor- Bottle size: 8.00 ml Cost: $1.49 Weight in grams per ml 1.0200 Flavor carrier: Other Preferred single flavor mix: 5.0 % Notes: Testing, testing, 123…

Everything stayed, EXCEPT for cost [$1.49].

Silly question, but did you press save?

“I have clicked on the save button many, many times. Every time I open my list of stash flavors, the quantity info is there, but the price info has disappeared. I thought maybe the price info required a $ prefix, so I laboriously re-entered all 70 prices. Saved, saved, and saved again.”

Yes. Pressed the save button after each entry, and especially after entering info for the entire stash list, and as I said, all info is saved, with the exception of cost.

Well, for some reason, it is now working. At least on the first ingredient of my list. I just tried it again, but this time entering just the number, 1.49, instead of $1.49, and it saved. That doesn’t explain why it didn’t save the many times I tried it before without the $ sign, but whatever, it is now saving.

Newbies, leave off the monetary designators [Euro, dollar, yen, etc.]

Thank you all for your efforts and help.

Yes, no denomination and . for fractions (not , like here in Denmark)…

Question for you, daath. If I leave the grams per ml field blank, will that give me the factory specs for specific gravity, or will I have to actually weigh each flavor? I don’t think I am alone in thinking that weighing is sort of a thankless task.

Jeg elske indeværende arbejdsplads. Tak for at behandle mig som en person.

If you leave the field blank and have “Use manufacturer specific gravities” on in your preferences, it uses that  If you enter a value, you override the manufacturer.

Hahha  I think I get the gist, but that translation was borked!
