Another mod maker that doesn’t get much love is Protovapor. I have one of the XPV Dna 30 devices , bought years ago. They also make a DNA 200 on that small frame.
I have their DNA 200 Silo. The Silo is nothing but a clone of the Evolv “reference mod” that the people at Evolv made to test their new DNA 200 boards.
It is my favorite 200 mod but it has the distinction of being the only DNA200 I have had fail. I had a solder joint break at the board for the battery connection.
It is only slightly larger than the SDNA 75 that I love as well.I have thought about picking up one of their XPV DNA 200-D Extended capacity , it has three Sony VTC5 for a total Watt Hours of 28.08 .The only downfall is the batteries are built in ,they have to replaced at the factory! Still hard to believe this with the same Watt Hours as my Wismec Reuleaux!
The standard XPV is very compact.
The Silo is the one that I own, it is very pocket friendly as well.
Here is a pic to compare sizes of the Protovapor Silo to the VT133 and the Mini Efusion.
I have a Protovapor, and I think they’re crap. All the cheap-ass screws rusted, none of the screwheads were flush with the plates they were holding down, none of the plates were flush with the sides, and the 510 pin never stayed in place so I was always dismantling it to fix the pin. Plus they soldered an 18650 into the unit so replacement was a pain. $240 and it was the worst piece of crap mod I’ve owned in the last 6 years. I’ve had $35 mods that were better-built than that POS.

Wow , That doesn’t sound good at all !What model did you have so I and others can avoid it?
My old XPV 30 is still going strong but I agree about having to solder in a battery, that was a pain!
Yeah, I was not happy. As we discussed, I like proper machining. Everything except the case itself was the opposite of proper machining.
If I remember correctly it was an XPV 20 maybe? It’s been a few years. My disgust with that unit “made” me buy nothing but ProVapes for quite a while. I finally dropped buying ProVapes 6 or 8 months ago when I got into sub-ohm tanks.
Gawd, I wish ProVape would get into sub-ohm vaping. I have been buying their units since the first one came out. Between the wife and I we own 2 of each ProVape, except only one Radius because my wife was sub-ohming by them. And we skipped the Procyon for the same reason. That is some nice stuff.
I like the ProVari as well but as you moved on after needing more Power.I did have a Provari V2.0 Mini fail though but it served me well for over a year of daily use.
Out of the ~15 ProVapes we own, we had one ProVape failure, I forget what it was, and they fixed it free, without question. That unit was 2 or 3 years old at the time.
I have no issue with an occasional failure. Things happen. The Protovapor, though, had so many things wrong, all of a sloppy nature… Ugh.
That looks perfect. Now to find one…
