UK apparently now has to ensure their customers are of age

UK apparently now has to ensure their customers are of age. SpiritusVapes have chosen to do this by requesting that people scan a copy of their birth certificate, passport or driver’s license.

Interestingly he says that that is the way sites selling alcohol has to do it. However, I did a google on whisky in the UK, and ordered a nice Japanese single malt whisky to see if that was the case, but at no point did I even see an age verification pop-up…

EDIT: Ok, he’s now saying that it’s an automated system, that will only ask for more documentation if it is needed… But I don’t know how the automated system verifies my age?!

I’m in the UK and bought some chef knives back a while ago.there’s an automated registry system called the eletro role or sumin like that.its so you can vote.that has your name age and adress on the system I think they use that

Spiritus uses a company called GBG - apparently they have the information on 4,000,000,000 people in their system… I wonder how that works :stuck_out_tongue:
