got a couple of good tips for you seeing as you are UK, firstly the scales most of these guys use aren’t available to us unless you pay like $60+…so I bought these, they’re excellent and they have a hold button…
and secondly apart from Chefsflavours, Rainbowvapes is also a good place to get concentrates, they’re cheap and if you spend so much you get free concentrates
If you don’t have an ultrasonic, you can also boil water in the microwave, remove it and wait 30 seconds, and then submerge the container of liquid (lid on of course) until the water is room temp. One that’s done shake the stuffing out of it. Typically, most fruit flavors are good to go instantly, many others will really bloom after 2-3 days. At least “acceptable” for those emergency situations where you don’t have anything to vape. **Do note that creams and custards (and the rare ‘other’ flavor) will take 3 weeks to a month minimum to fully develop, and they can be completely different taste profiles if you don’t wait the entire cure time!
If you do have an ultrasonic, then make sure your temp doesn’t go above 120-125F. Heating above roughly 140F starts to degrade the Nicotine. If memory serves, the ratio was found to be approximately <1% Nicotine loss at a temp of ~150F (this is what I recall from reading a 2000+ post thread on ECF sometime back). It degrades faster the higher you go past 150F.
Some advise no heat at all, and just let nature (time) take its course with regards to steeping, but I can say that using a well regulated heat source (USC) and adding Nicotine prior to the heating and cavitation process that the ultrasonic cleaner provides has been completely reliable and provided consistent and repeatable results for me over this past year.
The main thing is, find what works for you, and stick with it! Quitting tobacco products is job 1, and whatever helps make things easier for you to enjoy the process is good! You’ll continually refine the process as you progress, so don’t stress the little things!
@Sprkslfly couldn’t agree more heartily. Don’t overthink it, get your process down. Put your bottles down to steep and vape, take some notes. Make some more.
Love it what a detailed post. Im progressing quite well after today and most of all im enjoying it! Feel much more confident now with all the support and my range of flavours is growing nicely.
Will be making more recipes at the weekend so fingers crossed. Need a label printer now really
don’t know a walk in shop for decent bottles but these are the ones I’ve been using/selling for over a year now and they are the best droppers I found and I tried plenty before I settled on these
Cheers boys just picked up my rainbow order missing my meringue been subbed for butter cream lol i need meringue for 2 recipes i wana rustle up is butter cream even close
Not really, meringue adds a soft sweet fluffy type flavor, maybe try a small amount of marshmallow until you can get some. Won’t be the same but closer than butter cream. Or, you just made a new recipe.
i have that one , i got it bc the cord was with it , it works fine but sometimes pauses so i have to wait for it to catch up or blow on it to make sure all is good over all its a good scale
Yup, I’ve been vaping the $hit out of it and I gave some to a couple of fellow vapers. I’m gonna start selling juice for $5 for 30ml and use that $ to get more supplies. That is PG you can get gallons for like $20 at farm supply stores if there are any around you
Yeah ive found a shop 20mina from my house sells everything and cheaper than both websites ive bought off by 10 to 20p per bottle of flavour concentrate ill post the link soon
