Right, I have seen, read, watched and studied the reviews on the UWELL CROWN TANK,
I am very well aware that there somewhat bogus copies of said tank, all well and good
But my main reason for the this post is that. I Have the Temp Controlled Aspire Pegasus MOD, I was wondering wheather or not that the Crown tank will be happy on it, or I am going to have to go out and purchase a bigger more powerful mod ?? there has been one or two that has been recomended to me.

RX200 I take it this is a clone of the ABOVE.
Also one that sort of appeals to me is the Smok Cube 2 or the Mini version
The only thing that is putting me off these, is for the fact it needs either 2 or 3 Batteries to work, purly for the fact of the sheer power is puts out, which i can sort of understand. Unless there are other factors i am missing out on
if somebody could shed some light on my little dilema it would be mostly greatful
Before I had a TC mod I had a Crown Tank. I’m fairly certain it will shine on anything above 40 watts. I like the SS stock coils over the RBA head though. The RBA just didn’t produce for me.
I use the crown on the wismec realeaux rx it’s not a clone of the dna just doesn’t have a dna chip installed but I wouldn’t say that’s needed unless you are wanting the benefits of that and to spend much more on a mod… I love the rx had it for around 3 months and use the Uwell crown on it all day every day and had no problems the Uwell is the best I’ve had for flavour and vapour and I’ve used the Atlantis horizon, smok tfv4 and aspire tanks previously this blows them all out the water easily. I have the smok cube 2 mod aswell and its nothing on the wismec. the Uwell works best at higher watts and on more powerful mods I usually use the 0.25 coils but the 0.5 are brilliant too! the 3 battery’s doesn’t make the mod as heavy as you’d expect and it sits nice in your hand, you can also usb charge this which I haven’t had with my smok cube or sigelei 200w mods.
The Crown is a nice tank no doubt. It should do fine on the Pegasus mod. The factory coils are much better than the RBA head they sell. The RBA is too restrictive on airflow and there are better RBA’s for the TFV4. I mostly use RTA’s and RDA’s so I’m out of the sub-ohm tank rat race. It’s a great race to not have to run in.
The RX 200 isn’t a clone. Just a different model from Wismec. Yes, it can be very powerful at 200 watts, but seriously, who actually vapes that hot. The biggest advantage 3 batteries gives is time between charges. I can go 2 or even 3 days between charges on both the RX 200 and the Reuleaux DNA 200. The DNA is actually more efficient than the RX 200 in my experience. Of course I usually use more than one mod through the course of the day.
There is no reason why it wouldnt be in wattage mode …the only thing is you wont be able to take advantage of the TC mode as it doesnt support SS …well, actually you could use TC if you used the Ni coil heads, but I dont consider Ni an option for safety reasons. EDIT: As Brad has mentioned, there is also the RBA - forgot about that. He’s right about the draw!
So, if you wanna go TC, personally, I can highly recommend the RX200 - what a hitter!! (tho there are those here who have had trouble them - luck of the draw I think). The only down-side to this mod for me is that its not at all pocket friendly. If you’re a control freak (in the nicest possible way, of course ) & you wanna spend another 100 bucks, the DNA version is King!.. hell, it’ll cook your dinner, operate the TV …& open the garage!!
3 other pocket friendly, single 18650 options for you IMO would be the eVic mini, the wismec Pressa 70 watt TC or the IPV D3. All great options. EDIT 2:… but lacking batt compared to the RX or the DNA Reuleaux
From what I’ve read, I’d stay well away from the Smok’s - nothin but horror stories!!!

I am running the Crown on my Vapor Shark in TC with the Nickel Coil (yeah I know I shouldn’t). It is a wonderful vape at 430 degrees and 70W. I shouldn’t bring this beauty to work. But I just couldn’t leave it at home today for some reason.
I had it into my head the rx200 was a clone lol…I will just go stand in the corner with my dunce hat on LOL…
the RX200 looks pretty chunky for me. I will see how the pegasus behaves with it,
i am a little confused with something, maybe you can clarify it. i thought most mods if not all are high drain mods, how often do you use the RX200 for it to be able to last 2-3 days, understand that you use another mod inbetween. but if the RX200 was the only one that you used the whole day. how long would the batteries last, or am i going to have to wear a utility belt like batman full of batteries LOL…
Yeah I am aware that the Pegasus doesn’t support the SS Mode. which i am sadly disappointed at to be honest, I have had a few coils whereby it has thrown the device into TC mode, which took me a little time to get it back into wattage mode.
As for the RBA for the Crown tank, I carnt say i am overly fussed about it. if its going to perform like the Triton rba I aint going to bother getting it. I was very disappointed with the RBA for the Triton.
No matter what resistant coil i am made for it, kept getting hotspots, even with the right spacing…

Yeah, it’s a shame I can’t get a better looking pic of this tank. It is a lot darker than any of the pics I have taken of it. I actually bought it to put on my white iPV D3 when it gets here. I screwed the standard rose gold Crown down on a white D3 at the vape shop and it looked so good on there I had to buy that combo. But I figured the limited would look even better. So I will post those pics when my mod arrives.

I’m using my RX all day, most days. There are others like Brad that also seem to get 2 - 3 days from a set of batts, whereas I only get a tad over a day - a day & a 1/2 out of mine. I’m using the brown 3000 mAh HG2’s so to be honest I’m a little disappointed not to be getting more. at first I thought Fasttech sold me dud or clone batts so I bought a 2nd set from a local supplier & they’re the same, so maybe its the mod - also from FT. So, because I’m talking FT, I’m talking major PITA waiting for a replacement so I’m just living with it & its actually fine running 2 sets of batts - generally dont need a bat belt!
…or maybe its the fact im just a juice pig & the mod feels so good in the hand, I cant put it down (hmmm… that might have something to do with it!)
Yeah I have seen some reviews on it, still doing more research on the battery issue.
not saying i don’t believe you or others. its the first i have heard of a mod lasting that long, to be honest that is what i need, i am having to carry about 5 batteries with me, and having to change at least twice sometime 3 times through out the day… I am not a heavy vaper, well i personally dont think i am LOL…
3 of my batteries are genuine Aspire 2500 35amp. other two are Samsung 25r’s
did have a sixth, but that shorted out in my pocket… ops… no injuries…
If FT are as bad as I have read, i think i will stay well clear of them, i am looking at going up-to 3000 40amp on my Aspire kit… also have a humble kanger nano sub-ohm. which was my entry level to sub-ohming…

The only time I have to carry batts is when i’m close to the end of a charge before I go out.

Really, from my experience, the only thing bad about FT is the waiting. I was dubious about them too at first, & then I read someone here say… “If FT say its “authentic”, it is”. I have found that to be true.
I did put the Reuleaux DNA 200 through it’s paces for several days after I got it. Using it exclusively I was able to get about 2 days out of it between charges. I typically have a very low ohm Titanium build in most of my RTA’s …around .08 ohms, and I vape at 50-60 watts and 440-470 deg F. The batteries I use in both the DNA 200 and the RX200 are LG HG2’s 3000mah (brown) batteries. Great batteries. Both the RX200 and DNA200 are very efficient mods. All mods to my knowledge use “high drain” batteries. Meaning they are capable of delivering high current to a coil in order to heat the coil. Normal batteries couldn’t deliver the current required, and would problably go BOOM pretty fast if put under such a load.
If you are thinking of pulling the trigger on either the RX or the DNA 200 Reuleaux’s. Just do it. No regrets here.
The thing with Fasttech is you have to kinda know what you’re going in for. If you want it quickly, only pick stuff that says “in stock” or “Ships next day” and always choose epacket shipping. If you don’t mind waiting, just order whatever and forget that you ordered anything. Or, split your order up so the stuff that isn’t in stock or next day is in one and the rest is in another since you get free shipping no matter what. If you order something glass or breakable, put it in its own order and pick the hard box option. Lastly, read the reviews and the discussions if you aren’t sure about something. If FT says it is authentic, it is. Otherwise, the reviews will tell you pretty much everything you need to know.
The Pegasus mod should be ok. I typically run the 0.50 coils at 55w’ish and the 0.25 at 65-70. I running my crown tank on the ipvd2 75w tc mod (now know a as the ipvd3)
