Vape Mail 2016!

@SunnyT I am a Student at ELR University. I have 33 pages of notes from some of the best mixers on Earth. I majored in Biology in college so I have lab experience. I was a professional cook for ten years (palate), and I bought everything I need. I have about three months of actual mixing experience …so that makes me a Newb+1  but I was using syringes, now I’ll be mixing by weight and mag stirring.

I like bakery and custards and I bought a bunch of Liquor flavors. I also make my our liqueurs …I’ll be making some custards along those lines. I have plenty of SnV recipes from our pros here and all the flavors carefully charted and procured for all the great recipes I could only brain-taste. I’m very excited …I was in JuiceJail for 3 months and today it ends.

I am still mixing with syringes :disappointed: I would love to get a scale, but $ just does not allow for it…I had $100 dollars to spend and decided to get an IPV6x mod, 2 dual coil RBA heads for my TFV4 (favorite tank), 3 extra purple pieces of glass (also for the TFV4), and 4 30Q’s. I wanted to get at least one more new RTA, but I will have to make due with what I got. I was trying to have a little stock before 8/8/16. I have 2 RX200 mods, a Koopor Plus, and the IPV6x on the way. But I was unable to get more tanks. I have a goblin mini, my TFV4, and a Billow V2 nano, and a freakshow RDA. I am not complaining though, I am glad that I have what I have, I just wish I could have gotten a scale too! Oh well, maybe when I get done with school and get a job I will be able to afford one! Oh wait, that’s when I have to start paying back my student loans! Maybe one day before all of my mods die I will be able to mix by weight! I just thought it smarter to spend it on hardware versus other stuff that will still be available after the 8th.

on syringes… This I think was mentioned once here. There’s an extra 0.1 ml in the tip/needle. Try taking a dry syringe and inserting in liquid and drawing it up (without getting any air). You’ll see a gap between the liquid level and the plunger, and that’s the variance …and easily a 10% error in flavorings in a 15-30ml

yeah I messed up a lot in the beginning before I found out to make an allowance for the variance of the tip…but it’s all part of learning…another reason I really want a scale for mixing!

Not sure I get that when you can get a really nice scale for $25-30 shipped. Pipettes and syringes can easily add up to that if you don’t wash them. If you do just the time savings pays for itself. You should really take the plunge someday. I think you’ll be like me and wonder why the heck you waited.

I do wash my pipettes and syringes, it takes a lot of time and effort, but I cannot afford not to. I don’t work, I am a stay at home mom and a full time college student, therefore, I have no income. My husband has to pay all of the bills and money is tight. He just gave me $100 last week cause I told him about August 8th coming up and he said it was all we could spare right now. I am very thankful for that, but I used it on hardware instead of a scale cause I figured a scale will still be easy to obtain after the 8th, I just don’t know when I will be able to have more $ for a scale, probably not for a while, but that is okay, I really enjoy mixing, even with syringes, so I really don’t mind cleaning them!

Yeah… this was supposed to save me money  The thing is purchases like scales should last years, and $100 is one-two weeks of cigs for many smokers, but I definitely hear you. I’ve gotten many things used, like my $180 1 Liter Ultrasonic at Goodwill for $5 …they thought it was an icecream maker (Lady at cash register told me). That’s just dumb luck. made fast cleanup for that stuff.

You can look at Estate sales in your area (see pics) for a set of scales. Look in the Kitchen and Office pics (usually grouped for pictures) and you might recognize a .01 milligram scale. They won’t know what it is and maybe you can pick up for <$5 I recently picked up a Dymo 450 Turbo LabelWriter label maker for $5

Sorry to hear of your shipping cost.
It is nice to get them, but I do need to figure out how to get them to taste good.

Getting it to taste good is a minor problem since you at least get stuff for a reasonable cost
And yeah shipping costs suck big time for sure.
