Yes! Here are a few better shots of the color!
It looks like my coils might arrive today!!! FINALLY. Almost feels like a waste of juice when I can’t taste it. My fault for not buying more sooner… And trying to buy cheap coils. Should have just drove 45 mins to get the hand wrapped ones. Oh well. Only 1 vape store I know of still sells what they not consider “enthusiast” stuff.
Are you on FB? There are a few people I get handmade coils from that are absolute flavor bangers… When I first started vaping I swore I was going to learn to build coils, but then diy seemed more my speed. No room for a coil building setup.
I feel like the tinted glass on the 25 is different than the tint on the the 30? It’s hard to see the JFC, but I haven’t needed to use it.
I dont use Facebook. I don’t like it lol.
There is simply no room for this little coil winding tool among my 300 flavors
Opps, I got room for my coil winding tool, just no room for a “fancy “ set up with a drill and clamps, spools of wire and all the things. If I had a garage I’d be all set!
isn’t that all you need??
or you mean making your own fancy wires out of round wire!?
which i consider a form of torture
im not into BDSM
Well, the goal was to be able to create fancy coils…but sometimes I but sticks and just wrap them…
Nope, me either lmaooo!
you were just sado-curious …i understand
I gotta admit, when I saw the whole drill set up I contemplated it for a little bit. It’s just too much of an extra thing, I already do all kinds of stuff.
See, I’m afraid to buy pre-made wire sticks because I’m afraid I’ll screw them up, and I figure just spend a little few extra dollars and get the coils.
I found some Wotofo fused Claptons that I like for my ZX RTAs (2*30+38 N80) but they aren’t very easy for me to source so I decided to try and make my own.
Not trusting my hands and eyes yet to work with those wire gauges, I tried my hand at a home-made Daedalus styled machine,
The coil on the right is the last of my Wotofos, the other two are home-made (legs look really wonky there but got trimmed off)
They work fine.
I need to fine tune the process but I won’t need to rely on the marketplace as long as I have wire stock.
FINALLY!!!
IM SAVED…
from flavorless-ness.
Coil clout coils are awesome. I’m never gonna try buying crap cheap coils ever again. They don’t even work for emergency use.
I actually like Wotofo coils, they give decent flavor. They are all I used in the beginning. They definitely are hard to source now though. It’s a Shane what happened to that company.
This is where my fun days started. Making your own devices was the best part of DIY. For me, messing with the hardware was always more fun than making juice. I bought a dadelus and while I thought it was cool, it didn’t really make my life any easier. I loved makng SFC coils and found the easiest method was using the button from an old shirt or a looped piece of wire around my finger as I wound the outer wraps. Bead Along spool tamers were great for getting the wraps done hands free. Fused claptons were simple using a few fishing spinners and a simple “L” stand clamped to the edge of my desk.
Yeah, my “machine” needs a little nudge or guidance from time to time - especially the farther from the drill it gets. I do have a bunch of swivels so might get around to trying the more traditional rig at some point.
I use the Wotofo mesh coils, they are great!
That or the OFRF mesh are my favorite. Have you tried their Clapton wire mesh?
