Yours looks much nicer than mine!
I’m still doing some tweaking, but it works well enough for me to get a coil or two each session so far. It seems to require a little nudging and guiding as it moves farther away from the drill. I’m thinking about trying some wax on my desktop to see if that helps it slide better.
WOTOFO bought out OFRF a couple of years ago. They were making all of WOTOFO’s mesh coils for a while then WOTOFO started marketing them separately. My guess is all WOTOFO’S mesh coils were made by OFRF.
My time flys. The buy out in 2019.
Nope, I have not. Will give them a try and let you know what I think. Thanks! I use the NexMesh ones I think.
Yep, it’s a bummer, I was a tester for them back when Antonio worked their US market. I really liked Wotofo’s customer service and their employees. I had a good relationship with them.
You can get the Clapton mesh from wire optim or off Amazon as well. Really good flavor, they are kanthal and ni80. I usually don’t care for kanthal, leaves a slight metallic taste, but I didn’t get that with these.
Yea they work great for simple coils like 2,3,4 core fused claptons. More sophisticated coils like staples, framed staples, aliens, fraliens I still do by hand.
Have you tried without a jig? I started with simple fused claptons. I did learn from the best though, the creator of many of the coils we use today.
Thank you for the link to that video. I don’t recall watching one where someone did it by hand with no swivels/anchor.
I haven’t tried doing it by hand yet. I’ve had four sessions with my rig so far - the first was to test it using a single core 26+36, and the rest were using 2*30+38.
Sounds delicious!!! Good luck!!
EDIT: Sorry for my stupid question, i didnt see your text at the top of your post.
So, uh, whatcha workin on? A French Toast mix? I was working on one a few months ago but had to put it aside for a bit. Wish i could get their Black Label French toast again, that stuff was good all on its own!
To make up for my question here is the V2 i mixed along with the notes i made for a v3:
French Toast v2*
1.00% Bread (Sweet) (SC) (WF)
0.20% Custard Extra 2 (FA)
1.00% Eggnog (LA)
2.25% French Toast (SC) (Real Flavors)
0.50% Maple Bar (Flavorah)
0.50% Maple Syrup (Acero) (FA)
Flavor total: 5.45%
Private notes:

Needs flavor boost across the board
1/8/25
maybe up sweet bread and custard 2.
possible french van more syrup
I worked with Geek Vape for a couple of years. It was a brain picking type thing. As far as WOTOFO they treated me right. Broke some glass trying to get the large straight glass. They didn’t have it any more so I bought the small glass and they sent the glass along with a top feed squonk attachment. Never used it but it was the thought that counted.
Yes Wotofo had some good products back in the day. I loved their Nudge RDA’s always wanted a green 22mm single coil. I have one of each color in the dual 24mm. I contacted them numerous times trying to get a 22mm but they had been discontinued.
ooooooh that looks good though!
It was pretty tasty, just some minor adjustments left. In the middle of working on it my wifes fathers cancer got bad, he passed at the end of Feb and havent got back to it yet. I will tho, got a 60ml of the French Toast!
I haven’t really decided on which approach I’m going to take yet on the french toast. I will be trying to keep it as simple as possible though, based on the flavors I have. Thanks for the v2 you posted. More later when I have a v1.
Dayum, that looks delish!
So here’s my Bread Pudding recipe I made a while back… thought I’d put it together how I’d actually make it in real life. Now that I have ssa bread (fresh type) I need to mix this over a little different.
This came out good!
