Today is my 2 month vapeversary. I smoked for 40 years, with a few short attempts at being on non-smoker. My problem, I love the affects of nicotine and the doing something…thing. When they were going to raise the taxes on cigarettes here in California on April 1st, going from $5 dollars a pack to like $10 a pack, I decided in advance to get on the vape wagon. I purchased several mods, tanks, e-juices, chargers and batteries and by April 1st I was vaping away. Then I started buying everything to make my own e-juice, and of course more mods, tanks, batteries and chargers. I just love the taste of the e-juices, so much better than the stinky old cigarettes. My wife never complains about me smelling of cigarettes and even complements on the nice smell of my vape. So to all those still on the analog delivery system of nicotine, get on the digital vape wagon. You will love it!

I have been vaping for just over 3 years now. I actually celebrated my vaperversary on Mother’s Day! I can’t remember the day I actually quit, but I know it was around Mother’s day three years ago, because I did it for my three boys, and myself, but mostly because I want to be around for them for as long as I can! So now my vaperversary is on Mother’s day every year!
To the smokers: I feel so much healthier since quitting smoking! It is one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. I felt that I would never be able to quit smoking because it seemed that I was trying to quit at least every other month by different methods and I was never successful. I tried cold turkey, gum, patches, Wellbutrin, Chantix…nothing helped. Then I decided to give vaping a shot. I thought ‘hell, it can’t hurt’ and that was when my world changed. I can breathe again! I know that it is a scary step to take because once you have smoked for a long time, it becomes a part of you, but trust me when I say that if you take the step to start vaping, you will not regret it. Not only does vaping make it so much easier to quit smoking, its fun, and when you add in mixing your own liquids and building your own coils it becomes an awesome hobby! Vaping will save your life! I know I owe my life to vaping! #VapeLife

Hi @Lolly Yes, everything is okay with me, life is just really busy at the moment! I am still in school (online) and because I only take one class every five weeks I have to go year round so I don’t get a break. I am always so busy! Cramming a whole college course into five weeks makes for a lot of work, but I am getting there. I only have 7 more classes until I graduate! And my oldest son broke his leg a couple of weeks ago during baseball practice so I have had to do a lot more stuff for him! But I do check into the forum when I can just to try to stay updated on everything! Thanks for thinking of me!

I’ll be off the smokes and using vape products for a year this month. I haven’t a clue what date though.
It was the best decision I ever made. My father passed away from lung cancer quite a number of years ago, he was a fit man, he never drank alcohol in his life and had a healthy diet but was a smoker from the age of 13. It was 8 weeks from diagnosis to in the ground at the age of 55. So last year I decided to see what these ‘e-cigarettes’ were all about and I haven’t looked back since. The only regret I have is that I didn’t make the switch sooner.
Something that really hit home last week was when we got a phone call about my cousin. He’d been diagnosed with cancer too and wasn’t given long to live. It was devastating and shocking news for a man in his early 40’s to get. I can only imagine that the thought of what was to come got too much for him and he decided to go out on his own terms, which he did.
So what I would say to a current smoker that is thinking of switching is this. Do you want to be another statistic?.

Actually I do, I want to be the statistic of a smoker turned vaper. Oh shit, I already am :sweat_smile:

I’ve used vapor products almost a year and a half now. In the beginning theres a little bit of a learning curve but to all the smokers out there, vaping is so very tasty!!! Put those cigarettes aside and give vaping a try! You’ll never regret it! You can still get nicotine without all those toxins that cigarettes have. Vaping is much more satisfying than a cigarette ever was!

I’ve been vaping for almost 17 months.

First, it was hard for me to completely switch to vaping first I reduced the number of cigarettes I used to smoke before completely switching to vaping so my advice to smokers will just don’t loose hope that vaping is not helping you quit smoking it may take time for some people to completely make a switch so stick to it. first, reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke in a day till you completely switch to vaping.
