No kidding. Your pretty good at using it.

I have been trying to get better at 3D Paint which is supposed to be the upgrade to MS Paint. I made that silly thumbnail with 3D paint.

I have the Gen too. And I read about this problem while researching it before buying but I got one anyway.

I figured it was probably due to people over tightening. I have been careful to not do that and 6 months down I’ve had 0 problems. I just screw my RTA in until I feel it hitting the end and don’t tighten it at all. It stays on.

@cmad First, let me welcome you to the community and Second,

Awesome! For me, I am extremely hard on my gear so I need stuff that is sturdy. Cudos, on doing your research first. … :grinning:

I have lots of older mods with press fit 510 connections. None have popped out on me. Some I’ve been using for several years. I think as long as you’re not using unnecessary torque, you should be fine. Also, people pulling tight-ish RDA caps off while it’s attached to a mod isn’t a great plan. Wismec Predator is the first mod I heard of that had a very lousy press fit 510 connection. The early GEN videos warned people about this one too.

I always tighten my RTAs together by hand as well. I’m always playing musical atties on my mods and never had any trouble with longevity.

I do like other styles of 510 connections better but press fit has been fine too. A lot my mods have screws from the top anchoring them down, Smoant Cylon types. There’s also the ones that have the the threading built right into the mod casing, Smoant Battlestar types.

I used to but the damn thing busted. Putting them toghter with both hands off the mod works good for me.
