What am I not doing?

So…what am I not doing to get this error?

Because you’re using PG Nic, and you want 6mg, you can’t get to 70:30. If you choose Max VG you’ll see the % breakdown

Thanks. So if i want a 70/30 mix @6mg…its not possible? Or…switch to vg based nicotine?

20 ml/mg nicotine takes a lot of your pg volume to get to 6%. It’ll probably work at 5%. Or 65/35

Would it make a difference using vg instead of pg nic?

Yes. Then you would only need pg and pg flavors to fill that 30%
Or get stronger pg nicotine that wouldn’t take up so much of the pg volume

Any downside to using the vg base?

Also in Canada…20mg is the highest you can buy. They don’t sell higher and bringing in, you are taking a chance.

VG is heavier, so that may make it a little harder to hit a target (not a big deal with a 120ml recipe though)

Only if you want to mix unflavoured. Every concentrate added will increase your PG ratio. Most pod users prefer a 50:50 mix because it flows through those tinier coils easier.

Yes, you’d be better off using VG Nic. It is thicker than PG so you might prefer a wider opening container to pour it out.

He really meant to say 20mg/ml, 6mg and 5mg not %

The problem is 20mg nic. Your using a ton of pg nic base to get to 6ml. If you were using 100mg pg nic you would only need 1/5 the amount so then you can get to 70 30 with no priblem

In the uk we have a 10 ml bottle of max 18 mlg. 2 of these in a 100 ml bottle make 3mlg. Using veg shots as we call them you can adjust your mix ratio we a bit of simple math, you need vg nic

Must’ve been getting late for this old man

Definitely a problem…and a pain. I kinda of figured as changing to 100mg the warning was gone. I guess the next batch will be Vg base.

Ideally you would want the highest mg/ml pg base you can find. Pg nic base is much easier to work with. Vg when frozen becomes very thick and hard to use and since nic doesnt mix well with vg you could run into seperation issues and hot spots unless you really shake it good

Good to know. Biggest issue is actually getting a higher value here in Canada. It is a bit of a crap shoot whether it arrives or gets confiscated.
