Ah, Sticky Fingers eh? Now this be some fine, fine music @anon70102222 . First thing that sprang to mind when I saw the cover above was the vinyl album my mate still has that actually has a working zip on the front cover. Collectorsâ edition maybe? Or was that just the standard issue? I have no idea. He didnât like us messing with his zip âcos he reckoned weâd wear it out and it wouldnât be worth as much in years to come . I told him my fingers werenât sticky but he still wouldnât let me play with it. Câmon, I know yaâll wanna post some tongue-in-cheek remarks . Nike - Just Do It! CheersâŠ
I have Sticky Fingers⊠on my wall of vinyl art. Canât blame a girl eh? Unfortunately mine doesnt have the working zipper which is worth about $50 in good condition. It was banned in Spain for the cover. What a shame. Oh well, you canât always get what you want.
Ah, Ozzie. Reminded me of this one too. Oh, and so many others I would also postâŠ
I definitely love me some classic rock, but as a teenager in the 80âs I had a few âpopâ bands I still really dig today. Anyone remember:
Or this one?
Alphaville? Sorry @anon70102222 but never heard this one until tonight . Did a quick google and I donât think it was ever released in Australia. Could be wrong but wiki doesnât mention or show Aussie chart position. Hmmm. Nik Kershaw (Wouldnât It Be Good) on the other hand ⊠great song. I could listen to this one every day . Cheers.
Donât remember that oneâŠ
This song always takes me back to sitting on my own on top of the slippery dip (slide) at the drive-in before anyone got there⊠I was a sad and lonely child⊠I felt no-one understood me⊠I would sing along to the chorus.
It wasnât until I was older and learned all the lyrics that I realised it fit the situation perfectly.
Sorry, donât mean to be a downer - this song now makes me melancholy but in a good way, reminds me where I came from
You might know their tunes without knowing its them. Iâm preety sure someone did a cover version of this.
This one⊠@anon70102222?
Had the album on cassette - used to play it and make up dances in the playground
Pretty sure youâll remember these guys then
Oh I see. So Alphaville did the original. Didnât know that @ghoti1, thanks for letting me know. Iâve always thought it was from Youth Group. Always good to learn me something new. Cheers for that .
Now that young lady is something that wouldâve been worth seeing . What a great video that was (is) and still one of my favourite songs. Youâve brightened up my evening. Cheers .
Bring back the hair !!!
Ahh the hair. It was more magnificent in this one though.
