A few people have covered this too. Basically if you need a song, just look through their back catalogue.
After seeing the hair in that video (FOS ā Wishing) @ghoti1 Iām just sitting here speechless. āI am without speechā as Elaine told Jerry. Was not expecting that. Epic .
Bit embarrassed to admit this but never heard āBig In Japanā until tonight. Might have to look into Alphaville a bit more to see who covered their songs and so on. āGoogle is my friendā . Cheers.
What I remember most about that song was my older brother. When Alphaville was current, they were pretty popular in the dance clubs teens inhabited. I was too young to visit them but my brother was always sneaking out of the house to go there. He had a mullet, parachute pants, and was a break dancer. And I wanted to be him so badly. Fortunately, that trend was done by the time I could have dressed or acted like that, otherwise there would be some very embarrassing pictures of me somewhere out there. But, he definitely brought home stories that made me want to grow up and emulate.
Hair was much better in the 80ās. I miss itā¦
Oā¦Mā¦Fā¦Gā¦!
Loveeee this song!!! The band Alphaville made a big resurgence when this song was featured in the 2004 movie, 'Napoleon Dynamite." heheee Vote for Pedro
This 80ās song was also featured in the movieā¦ The Promise by When in Rome.
This is the cover version I couldnāt remember the other day its by Jay-Z.
Or as we call him over here - Jay Zed.
Sitting in my new easy chair with a vape, listening to one of my favorite Billy Joel songs:
Iām sure nearly everybody knows the remake from the movie Donnie Darko, but hereās the original from another great 80s band
for Alphaville, a great German group I had nearly forgotten about
Now who doesnāt know

RUFIO! RUFIO! RUFIO!!!
Cocaine is a helluva drugā¦
Current earworm. The line, āevery time you go somewhere, you leave somewhere behindā just rings so true. Donāt know if itās because of the impending change in scenery(DUH) but I canāt stop listening.
If only I could have some of that money backā¦
Yeah old skool I know, but stillā¦
Donāt care if the world knows this but every time I watch this I cry. Damn, she was good. Her own ābluesā most probably made her the performer she was. Sadly not long enough on this rock. For me personally, the best Iāve witnessed so far in my lifetime. God, I love her.
