After seeing the hair in that video (FOS – Wishing) @ghoti1 I’m just sitting here speechless. “I am without speech” as Elaine told Jerry. Was not expecting that. Epic .

Bit embarrassed to admit this but never heard “Big In Japan” until tonight. Might have to look into Alphaville a bit more to see who covered their songs and so on. “Google is my friend” . Cheers.

What I remember most about that song was my older brother. When Alphaville was current, they were pretty popular in the dance clubs teens inhabited. I was too young to visit them but my brother was always sneaking out of the house to go there. He had a mullet, parachute pants, and was a break dancer. And I wanted to be him so badly. Fortunately, that trend was done by the time I could have dressed or acted like that, otherwise there would be some very embarrassing pictures of me somewhere out there. But, he definitely brought home stories that made me want to grow up and emulate.

Loveeee this song!!! The band Alphaville made a big resurgence when this song was featured in the 2004 movie, 'Napoleon Dynamite." heheee Vote for Pedro

This 80’s song was also featured in the movie… The Promise by When in Rome.

Don’t care if the world knows this but every time I watch this I cry. Damn, she was good. Her own “blues” most probably made her the performer she was. Sadly not long enough on this rock. For me personally, the best I’ve witnessed so far in my lifetime. God, I love her.
