Emmy Lou Harris is one of my top 50 artists. I like this one:
that was very cool
I love how they play so flawlessly that if it wasn’t for the stick rolling around on the ground, you wouldn’t have known someone made a small mistake. Very impressive
Good song but that seems a bit overproduced. It sounds like 5 versions of the song mixed together. A bit scary he was still alive when this was released. Possibly with his own involvement?
Sorry I should add a few flowers at least, that sounded a bit grumpy, I guess.
Nothing wrong with sounding grumpy. I reckon as we get older we’ve earned the right . Yeah @Bad_Influence, that version was indeed a remastered one. The OG definitely sounds different as was the case back in the day. Listening to the vinyl back then gave you that whole other feeling but this remastered version isn’t that bad. Still brings out those memories of when I was just a 12 year old lad on the cusp of discovering what life was all about and going through all the shit that 12 year old boys go through . Cheers.
I hate to admit it but there are some great things about being middle aged. When I was crossing the border from france to England 2 years ago, I was pulled to the side and I thought wow I haven’t been checked for drugs in over a decade. I had some time on my hands anyway so I didn’t mind the distraction.
Then the customs lady asked me the usual, alcohole and cigarettes. I openly admitted what I had, which was way within the customs free area. But then she hit me with the question:
Do you have more than 10000 Euros in cash with you?
That was flattering and terrible at the same time. Do I really look like I could be more likely to have 10 grand instead of a spare tyre full of drugs? I calmed myself with the conclusion that if I had 10 grand she would have assumed it came from a drug trade.

If my mother named me Jane
Wonder if I’d be the same
Would I fit inside this frame?
Take up all my empty space?
If my mother named me Jane
Could I love someone to stay?
Hold on tight without a break
Wish I thought of this in May
For so long I told myself we were so wrong
Put us on a shelf, then I searched for
You in someone else and found nothin’
I said I moved on, even I don’t believe it
Heard our song playin’ loud on the speakers
Tried to be strong, but it just made me weaker in the end
Maybe you won’t love me 'cause I’ve gone insane
But maybe you would love Jane
If my mother named me Jane
I would never show up late
Never need to catch a plane
Never need to run away
For so long I told myself we were so wrong
Put us on a shelf, then I searched for
You in someone else and found nothin’
Said I moved on, even I don’t believe it
Heard our song playin’ loud on the speakers
Tried to be strong, but it just made me weaker in the end
Maybe you won’t love me 'cause I’ve gone insane
But maybe you
My friend said I’m like a glass hammer
I bet Jane wouldn’t break under pressure
But when I saw you in November
I told myself I would do better
Better for you
For so long I told myself we were so wrong
Put us on a shelf, then I searched for
You in someone else and found nothin’
I said I moved on, even I don’t believe it
Heard our song playin’ loud on the speakers
Tried to be strong, but it just made me weaker in the end
Maybe you won’t love me 'cause I’ve gone insane
You know I’ve gotta grow up, but you don’t wanna wait
So find a better version, version of me
'Cause maybe you would love Jane
