Does it lean more towards the remake or Evil Dead 2 or 1?
I’ve heard pleasant noises around it but knowing this one point will maximise my enjoyment.

I’m queuing up things to play while I sleep.
Tonight will be a series of Baldi. If you have never heard of it before, it is 3 series of 40 minute mysteries which entail a Franciscan friar on sabbatical in order to engage in academia and teach undergraduates in semiotics.
Obviously he repeatedly encounters murders and conspiracies.
I must admit that I find it comforting with having a background in Christianity and growing up knowing many Franciscans - I still hold them in high regards, even though I removed my colours from any monotheistic mast and they still regard me as a brother.
Loving me some Nazareth right now!
Not my genre either, but good seeing youngsters enjoying themselves, playing in a band
Yes, very interesting. I checked out some of their other videos. Impressive that the band members are fairly versatile and not just in tightly defined roles.
Nice eclectic, mostly indie playlist, rarely fails to get a toe 'atapping.
I even got the t-shirt
I’m having evening listening to the Cherry Tree Sessions hosted and curated by John Peel.
These sessions showed that many people are much more talented than their mainstream performances hint at: Lady Gaga is the finest example of showing that this batshit crazy girl is rather talented.
I still mark the 13th October as a day for noise for John.
For those who have never heard of him: He was the man responsible for you being aware of countless groups.
Each time I hear an odd random group, I imagine him saying ‘That was the Pillars of Destruction singing Muff Scuffle from their third album - Bow Down to the Available Friendly Milk’.
It was a very sad day for the music industry when we lost John Peel. One of those groups that he helped launch and became a good friend to was a young Marc Bolan when he was one half of the duo called Tyrannosaurus Rex later called T Rex, the other being Steve Peregrin Took. They were the supporting act for John Peel on his roadshow and went on to perform at the very first Glastonbury Festival then called the Pilton Pop, Folk and Blues Festival which took place in the late Summer of 1970. John Peel was also featured reading short stories written by Bolan on some of his early albums. When Marc changed his style from acoustic guitar to electric John Peel did not like it and it caused a rift between them and they sadly parted ways.
Great find! Thanks for sharing. I just might grab something from their swag list, as well!
Well not all things end well. I stumbled upon an archive of Home Truths episodes today and have had them playing in the background while I work. Saturday Live was a great successor (sadly it’s now without everyone’s favourite married, celibate and widowed, gay CoE Minister - the affable Rev. Richard Coles). So, there’s now a 9am Saturday morning slot to be filled.
I now need to find a new reason to be fully alert on Saturday mornings.
This brought back memories of attending folk concerts in pubs after a long day working the locks, and imbibing offensive amounts of ale to soldier one
This video includes my familial residence, though I won’t say the point it is passed by:
With the whiff of the salty brine from @Rocky02852 Wreck Of The Fitzgerald still in my nostrils I thought that this would be a fitting contribution.
Gordon Lightfoot was one of my favorite artists.
It’s sad that he passed on but at least we have his music.
Being born and raised on the north east coast of “New England”, I love nautical themed music. One of my all time favorites:
They have a good app too
Gordon was a legend while alive and he will remain a legend after passing. For me, he was one of the best songwriters/storytellers of all time. And he was a better guitarist than some may believe. He was able to combine a great melody (with a hook) and fantastic, touching stories in his songs. My heart dropped at his death…but what a career and life.
