I was just listening:to one of my old favourites, the video is good too.

This came on the wireless today whilst I was driving home and being a big ELO fan I turned it right up and sang to it all the way home. I just love this song and the story behind it of Horace Wimp.

Coming off the heels of Out Of The Blue, still one of my all-time favorite albums, this one was a little bit of a disappointment for me. Still some good songs though. This one will always bring back memories of driving through the Alabama countryside (to where I had just been freshly transplanted)

Originally released in 1972 but this is a remastered version done 40 years later in 2012. Timeless…

One of my absolute favorite songs and at the same time one of the most beautiful love songs, not those sickening ones all roses and flowers, of true love because when you truly love the suffering of others also becomes your suffering.

I realise this was from back in May but I was MIA and only read the other night while catching up. Regardless, went and checked this out and yeah, it’s a nice place to listen to a great mix. OK, channels might be “limited” but the selections make up for it. Highly recommend if you’re after a change. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement :star_struck:. Thanks bro, this is saved as a fave and will be saved at work tomorrow morning as well. Cheers.

The Who - Won’t Get Fooled Again (Live 8 2005)

There’s nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are effaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

Tell me I’m wrong but… why has Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin refused to tour since the death of Bonham? I can respect the loyalty aspect of it but feel his/bands decision not to, has robbed the world of many years of potentially new/live music. Especially when Jason Bonham is available. (original drummer’s son)
Now he decides to sing Stairway for a benefit concert for Duran Duran’s guitarist Andy Taylor. 16 yrs since Celebration Day. It’s rumored he hated the song till he heard Ann Wilson sing it at the Kennedy Honors.
Regardless glad to see Plant’s still out there performing.

Gotta say, Heart’s rendition of “Stairway to Heaven” blew me away. Having Jason Bonham on the drums was great and he did an awesome job. Their lead guitarist nailed it and…Ann Wilson…well… Ann Wilson still has one of the best voices in Rock and Roll. She is a vocal force of nature.
