@paingawd Sorry to hear about your friend. About six months ago I looked up a high school girlfriend and discovered she passed away about 9 years ago. I was shocked and saddened by learning she had died. Sometimes we get those “kicks in the gut” that remind us of our mortality. Grieve fully and honor your genuine feelings of loss.
I once met this Dutch singer online at a David Bowie tribute. He turned on his voice and sang this to me. Loved the song ever since. Music has always been my medicine. I guess that’s why sad songs make me happy. Go figure.
Strange, and good. I like it.
@Mew @paingawd I was just telling a friend that listened to us play Friday night that music seems to touch some of us in some wonderful ways that can be strongly emotional. Sometimes that means joy and sometimes that means sadness.
Which cat fountain do you use? I tried one and Nikko won’t have it, he prefers the faucet and it’s becoming quite a chore. Turn on, turn off, repeat…
I’ve decided to switch frequencies. I’ll be tuning in to this as I fall off tonight. Hoping to chase off the nightmares, lol.
I apologize but I have no idea what make or model it is. That is exactly why we got it though. On, off, on, off, with the spigot.
I would recommend the one we have, but like much of the items coming from China, the model has been discontinued and trying to find filters for the damn thing are like finding hen’s teeth! My cats tend to prefer stainless, but the most recent one is plastic. What they tend to like is a light bubbling action rather than the flow from a faucet. It sounds like your cat would prefer one with more of a water-falling action over a bubbling one. Maybe look for one that has that feature(If the previous one didn’t)?
Agree. the first time I heard this song was at that Bowie tribute. I wept. Not because I idolize Bowie but because I had recently lost a dear friend to cancer who did. He lived in the UK and saw Ziggy Stardust as a young gay teen. Struggling with his identity and suicidal. He told me after that concert he finally felt OK in his own skin. He always spoke in Bowie lyrics which was odd and I loved it.The last time I talked to him he said don’t you worry about me Lady Grinning Soul. Whenever I hear a Bowie song I think of him.
My fav Bowie song.
I found one that would be perfect for him but it’s expensive and the hook up would be a little tricky. The good part is you don’t need filters. It basically works like a touch free faucet for humans. I was going to get one of those but since he’s older now he expects a free lift up so I would still be getting up and down to hoist him up, lol. This one can be situated on the side of the bathtub which he can access easily.
Half of my cats would die from dehydration because as soon as that thing started flowing they’d be scared out of their fur!
Hahaha, that’s too funny. Not my boy. He’s so used to being waited on he’d expect it to flow for him without effort. We’re just his bitches around here How we got wrapped around his little paws like that I have no idea. He’s got skills.
Bowie was quite a genius, though I admit not my personal cup of tea, his talent was unmistakable and he played a mean horn even though that was not what people noticed him for. His repertoire was so expansive that even I loved several of his songs. He was an innovator, I loved what he stood for and he gave it his all till the end. RIP
Bowie was definitely multi-faceted and some of his fans hated his “evolution”. He had a love for jazz and you can see how he incorporated more of it in future years with the horns and such. He was and is a beloved icon.
Lol
Still a banger!
I found that old lady pic today in my google photos!
Fucken love it!
