What are you watching? (2020/2021)

For me, this is one of the best comedies of all time. My college roommate and I were perfectly stoned and saw it in the theater. We had to stay and watch it a second time because we were laughing so hard and so often we knew we missed some of the lines. Very fond memory.

A good state for watching it for the first time. Stoned is the best state for this and Carry On Screaming.

A cuter family one for tonight (I want a horror-ish movie which my scaredy-cat girls will love):

I saw this trending on Netflix, and thought, “Nah, that’s not for me”. Broke down, and after the FIRST episode, was ready to throw in the towel, but turned out much better. If you can make it past the cultural differences, overacting, and voice overs, you might JUST be surprised.

I haven’t got around to watching it yet, and I have been a fan of Korean horror and thrillers since well before I lived there. I better correct my lapse.

I avoided this for the longest time because I thought it was subtitled. I find subtitles take my attention away from the viewing experience so I avoid it a much as possible. I was happy to see it was dubbed. I can live with that and I enjoyed it.

Also, LOVING For All Mankind on Apple+. Ronald D. Moore is the man!

Well in that case, the “culture” differences won’t be as noticeable for you. I could have easily killed it after the first episode, but am GLAD I gave the next episode a watch, because then I was more into it.

Being that I’m an equestrian, I just started watching Heartland. Wicked corny, but it’s ok. I’m also rewatching Criminal Minds. I hope Ozark has a 4th season and Manifest as well :grinning:

Just watched “Cowboys and Aliens” on Prime.
Better than I thought it would be

Tonight’s October movie will be an oddball French comedy horror about a couple who move into a house haunted by ghosts from when it was a gay nightclub: PolterGAY

I’ve heard everything from “200 million dollar sleeper”, to “Best new series out”, so we’ll see what’s what.

This one isn’t grabbing me at all. Of course it’s only been an episode, so we’ll see how it goes.

I’ll check it out and see if it’s worth watching. My first impression from the trailer was, ‘They’re not going to get into subterranean Antarctic cosmic rays and aliens, are they?’

@Lostmarbles I read a few reviews beforehand, and almost every one stated a “Slow Burn”. Focusing on the back stories I guess.

Just watched the first episode of season 4 of “The Sinner”. So far, so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 seasons.

That was a great series @Cary1. Bill Pullman played a very convincing, almost broken person. May have to re-watch.

Halloween week has begun. If you don’t know why all are corpsing: It is over the oddity of Tommy Wiseau and that his character in The Room was supposed to be a vampire in a flying car! - ‘Maybe it’s vampire’.

Getting into a seasonal mood with my personal favourite modern horror.

Nothing gets close to Cabin’s quirky meta and encyclopedic cross referencing - Witches and Sexy Witches are clearly different.

Tonight’s Halloween choice. A fun family one and I’m making sure that my personal cloud has a few versions of it for my girls stuck in China.
