Yeah mate, DSN was one of my faves as well and is in my top 3. The other 2 are Voyager and the current series Discovery. Really diggin’ Discovery but I don’t sub to any streaming services (I’m a bit of a tight-ass when it comes to paying to watch stuff ) so have to watch on free-to-air here in Oz. The waiting time before it gets on the box is frustrating…
Undoubtedly there would be my friend but I’d need to get VPN first. I know it’s as “cheap as chips” but my biggest problem is that 1) my computer is on its last legs and I’d feel more comfortable with a new one with more grunt and capacity etc and 2) for some reason I end up forgetting to pull my finger out and getting a subscription. I won’t get VPN today but I will get it eventually.
Back in the day I used torrents all the time (without VPN) but then our asshole gubment went and forced all our ISPs to block us from accessing said torrents. If only they’d let me leave and the destination country would let me in, I’d go live in SE Asia somewhere. Cheers…
Some people say the end of Season 8 was great. Some people said it’s the worst thing they’ve ever seen. Some people have guessed exactly what’s going to happen.
Some people think that Harrison isn’t really Harrison and that the person we see killed the real Harrison.
Welcome to the forum!
Well, It’s hard for me to see the new Dexter as season 8. I thought of it more like Season 1 of “new Dexter” but a it turns out there won’t be another one. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen but also not super exciting.
Harrison not real Harrison? Interesting thought! I guess perhaps there will be another season then, showing (fake) Harrison’s adventures.
Well, I finally got around to watching Dead Silence and it was far worse than I could of expected. It’s made by the people who made Saw, with the same music, a puppet with the same name, and a twist that is utterly deranged. It is mostly let down by a complete lack of internal logic and a desperate need to ape a Burtonesque style: So much so that it took two sittings to finish after annoying me so much.
This is definitely the worst killer puppet movie I’ve seen (that does include Puppet Master 6).
I enjoyed the series Dexter but as usual thought they got progressively worse towards the last ones.
And that continued with ‘New Blood’ which I thought was the worst of the lot. Personally I found it to have quite a thin storyline.
I’m unsure if it was made to simply cash in on the series success, try and rewrite series 7 ridiculous ending or was an attempt by Michael C Hall to finally distance himself from the character.
I suppose it’s not out of the realms of possibilities that it could continue without him and Harrison picking up where he left off. In fact as I discussed with my wife I thought that’s the reason it ended like it did.
@jannies Welcome to the forum. I enjoyed the re-boot of Dexter, but felt there was at least one story line that seemed to drop away (with Angel). Watching it gave me a good feeling of nostalgia, bringing back fond memories of watching the the first few seasons of the original.
Tonight is one of my relaxing nights: So, a difficult choice between Yummy and City of the Living Dead.
Mom would take the remote from me and hold it for the rest of the night before she would sit down and watch that.
Mine allowed me do watch what I wanted - as long as I answered all silly questions she had.
As it’s the weekend, I’m prepping a duck for a roast and ensuring I have one of my favourites to watch in the evening:
As it’s a lazy day, I’m watching some fun classics. Little Shop was my first choice - obviously the dark cut of it.

Edit: This version drops the ‘Somewhere that’s green’ happy US ending and replaces it with the apocalypse. What some call the European ending for a movie. It sometimes gets confusing, like with Descent 2 when most Europeans are baffled as all died in the first movie.
What goes through my head during most recipe discussions ‘Gummy bears, gummy bears. Sprinkles, sprinkles’.
Very useful thread! Thanks guys, I found for me a lot of new movies and TV shows. Now I have enough space. I have a FireStick 4K that had its memory 98% full. I did an Analyze in ES File Explorer that showed most of it was taken up by other. Clearing app caches and data is one of the easiest ways to free up previous space on your FireStick. This source gives a good information how to do it . Chears
