I can definitely sympathise with that. I grew tired of people trying to diagnose me based on whatever condition they were interested in, and only after a long wait. Now I just tell them what I need and how much and that removed a huge annoyance.
Thanks dear, it is appreciated. It is just a matter of exercise to build back muscles.
We all have our ways, I’m not the rubbing type.
I will definitely put the JBCO in my co wash. At least I use that
Many times, that IS the best “medicine”.
Aww Jose, I’m so sorry this happened. It sounds frightening as hell. I started having sciatic problems in 2021 and last year, I woke up and couldn’t walk. I was diagnosed with Piriformis Syndrome which is a collapsing of a butt muscle that chokes off the sciatic nerve and it hurts like hell’s version of hell. I couldn’t walk without a cane for about a month and a half, and during all this, I had a nerve issue in my neck that made my right arm almost useless. I still have constant pain in the arm and leg but I’m able to walk without the cane. Stairs are a problem but I insist on taking them anyway.
Have you thought of using rubber excercise bands at home to help strengthen the legs? That’s what I used and it help tremendously. I lost a lot of muscle in the ass (not necessarily a bad thing), but I built some of it back up.
Hopefully I’ll get enough of it back so my pants don’t keep falling off.
Just thought I’d add my two cents. I truely hope you recover soon.
I’m sorry that happened to you, arms too. I hate having to depend on others and not being able to walk will get you there fast.
With additional arm issues you’ll get there even faster.
I have no exercise material. Just walk the dog to the park, play some football with her.
I’ve been slowly building it up for months now.
Now I finally manage to walk to our favourite park again.
The dog needs to build up her condition too. Silly girl refused to set one foot outside the door without me when I was too ill to walk.
I live downstairs but do try some stairs every now and then. That’s when I notice most how much I have deteriorated.
No running up and down those things. Like you I force myself.
I sure hope you recover soon too. I use shoelaces to keep my pants up. No belts for me since they give me allergic reactions with all that metal in those clasps.
It sure looks like we’re two peas in a pod
LOVE THE KILLERS!!! Never seen them in concert but love their music!
Is this actually a real issue or one that has been conflated and rammed into an odd place in identity politics?: I find claiming the right to power your grills by exploding dinosaurs in a way which can cause hallucinations a tad odd.
Yes, it is a real issue, ongoing as we speak.
They’ll take my stove over my cold dead spatula!
We had a pretty significant storm roll thru here a few days ago. Temps and freezing rain knocked out power because of all the subsequent ice-laden tree branches crashing into power lines (have you ever witnessed a transformer explode?) The burners on my GAS stove were the only thing I had keeping me warm through the night.
Without a GAS stove my only other option would have been to camp out in my car. Not a good option unless one is suicidal!
Oh YES @TorturedZen. It’s called Hit The Deck time.
Glad as hell you had that brother. Don’t forget though, gas stoves are dangerous !!!
Glad you didn’t have to camp out.
Do you have access to cable news in real time or do you just catch it later as part of a streaming service?
We have cable, so it’s on most times. A lot gets DVR’d so we can actually WATCH it.
Asking because that gas stove news is actually a few weeks old. Remember when they also showed a clip of our 1st Lady cooking over the gas stove in the W.H.? Remember AOC cooking over her gas stove in her DC apartment?
Hehe, yes, BUT, it’s all new again. The blow up happened, they stated they were NOT coming for them, and fast forward to yesterday, and wow. New again.
