Now that’s something I’d love to have in liquid form
@d_fabes Congrats on your enjoyment of retirement. Fully appreciate the time to relish in your hobbies, spend time with friends and have some relaxing (or exciting) fun. I retired in Sept 2020 and went back to work part time for a different non-profit 20 hours a week. Wish it were fewer hours, but the offer was too good. I hope to fully retire in 2023. For me, the extra income is great because my ex-wife got the house and all the retirement account in our divorce and my only other income is Social Security. Fortunately, I’ve learned to live pretty comfortably on much less than I used to.
Thanks Cary! Glad to hear you’re making it work out, on less. I’m doing the same. I have a fairly low contentment & amusement threshold. My hobbies are relatively low impact on the bottom line. I’m finding out that learning to adjust a bit comes with the same level of satisfaction as when I was throwing more money at things. It actually starts to become a bit of a hobby in itself. Trying to be a little more self sufficient (within reason), fits my DNA. Maybe it comes from having parents that grew up during the Great Depression. The reuse, repurpose, recycle, do it yourself generation.
Heck, I’ve lost 17 lbs since I’ve stopped working! I’m going to attribute that to trading the stress of working in a fast paced, high pressure environment, for working in the yard, in the garage, and around the house. Being my own ‘boss’ seems to have it’s benefits!
Good luck in your retirement!
My covid test came back negative
I love that I look forward to being a part of this forum. I’m not someone who mixes a large variety of juices, just a few that work for me, primarily my ADV. So I don’t offer much advice or guidance with regard to recipes and flavors. However, the folks here make me feel included and welcomed. When I get ready to log into the forum, I smile. I enjoy finding like minded people in the vape community. This forum and the folks here have added to my quality of life. This may sound “sappy”, but I value this place and the people here.
Right there with ya, brother.
Hey Cary, I threw you a hug 'cause I was just having a similar conversation. It’s nice to know there’s a place you can turn to when RL gets too squirrely.
