Beautiful.

I was a refreshing sight. Usually I run screaming from sunlight but this sunrise was worth a watch.

This is a “WOW” sunrise. What a great vision to encourage a good outlook on the day.

And a fork in the road…

Weren’t we just looking at @mjag sunrise? I ain’t got nothing. Haven’t seen the sun in almost 2 weeks. We’re busy bringing in the Ice Age at the moment.

It was actually a sunset, never seen it like this, looked like the edge of the city was on fire…spooky

@mjag Stunning. When I lived in LA, some of the sunsets were gorgeous, but it was because of the pollution. Wildfires can do the same thing. We just had the wildfire just west of Denver and the the sunsets were awesome, but the damage caused was horrific…over 1000 homes destroyed. Ash in the air for days and poor air quality.

That is horrible what happened in Denver, my nephew lives nearby and we are supposed to go for a week in April. How do you like Colorado compared to LA @Cary1 ?

@mjag I hope your nephew and his family are okay. The fires really affected a lot of folks.

April is a great time of the year to visit Denver. We may still get some snow, but our springs are darned nice. And the mountains will still have snow if that is what you are looking for. After living in Denver for 29 years, it feels like home. Though there are some things I miss about LA, I’ve found Denver to be friendlier (in general). We are large enough to have all the usual attractions like fine museums, a great live music scene (check out Red Rocks Amphitheater), all the major sports (GO Avs) and good cultural diversity. The mountains west of Denver are spectacular and if you like snow skiing or boarding it is fantastic. Colorado, as a state, has some wonderful scenery with lots of diversity…mountains, sand dunes, prairie and plains. Denver is large enough to feel like real city but not so large as Chicago and Los Angeles to have the problems at the same level as Chicago (where I grew up) or Los Angeles (where I lived for 14 years of my adult life). I also like having all 4 seasons and the climate here. I don’t miss Chicago or Madison, WI winters, the Phoenix summers and the somewhat “sameness” of the weather in Los Angeles.

Hope you have a great time when you visit. :grinning:
