I loved painting my Skitari Rangers… I had a shit load of paints and everything but sold all my minis and paints…
Also had an Orc Army.

This is for a deranged Ynnari army wading through a swamp idea. Always a bugger to have to sell.
Yeah, I always have a change of hobbies or I just don’t think I’ll get enjoyment out of them but I always miss what I sell. I do it a lot and usually at a major loss. Maybe if my treatments get better I can work a part time job soon and start up a collection… Would love to paint up some of those Hordes/Warmachine minis… Fuck man some of those are really, really wicked looking.
I understand. I’m doing it a few for commissions (Yvraine with a 3D printed head swap and her cat struggling with a swamp is one). So, I couldn’t resist making a full army for myself: just to see it and smile daily.
Yeah, I loved my Orks but I was so gung-ho to get some minis I built all of them at once and bought paints later… Now that makes for a harder paint job, but I learned by making that mistake and I think they came out good for a beginner.
Also, enjoyed painting death guard. Fucking wicked looking models
They are also fun to model. I still need to get the nurgling with a helmet on: always wanted to create a huge diorama around him and play him as a Great Unclean One.
I hope the money doesn’t go missing before she gets it.
Sure, I love Bam Bam and Ack Ack.
You got me there, my in-laws have only consigned me to Dante’s 5th level.
Getting my students to grasp areas and fractions.
And after doing all, getting concentrates for those chatting around my feed: @Rocky02852 sent me one, so my time to send a few out.
Having the electrician hand me my order after I finished my meeting: Great teamwork there.
So part of the bits to get me back into miniature painting:
A gel based medium that acts like resin for pools of water.
A basic set of brushes for priming, layers, varnishing and washes.
And the main part of the paints to mix with on a wet palette (I generally use 11 colours to make all but I’m going for 21 this time).
Get to hang out with friends this weekend at a campground. I’m not camping this year, but will be there this afternoon through tonight, then back in the morning until tomorrow night. Good food, good company, good conversation, good music and an all around good time.
Sounds like fun. Seems that you’re going for the fun and skipping the hassle - a fine plan.
Well done mate. I put 40kg on over winter, now slowly getting down to a more agile self.
Trying to explain the State Opening of Parliament to my Chinese wife.
Mark Steel’s summary is spot on on how stupid it is:
‘What the bloody hell is everyone doing?!’
