Self imposed or otherwise… It would seem so.

ok. i didn’t read him anymore, so thought maybe he said he was going away for a while.

Of course you do…

Plenty of room here…

Ahhhhh, but he was a atypical (his word) Australian who definitely does NOT represent the rest of us.

Peaceful, isn’t it.

I think Hollywood made him go away a while. Period to the #metoo movement there were already a fair few things coming out about him being a pig. Like kicking a waitresses face and general treatment. He always said he just wanted to be on his ranch and he very clearly didn’t feel like doing the whole ā€œget in Hollywood shapeā€ thing anymore. So he started redefining and choosing sparingly(or being asked soaringky). I think he either just had or has a movie coming out but it’s not ā€œa-listā€ iirc.

Anyway I don’t think he loves acting. Certainly never seemed to, almost certainly doesn’t love fame.

The lack of non-stop negativity is rather refreshing.

i skipped right past his posts, and wondered why everyone else didn’t.

i also thought he was banned.

The only reason Aussies are so agreeable is because everything else in the country wants to kill you.

That was a lot of skipping. I developed carpel tunnel syndrome on my scrolling finger.
Easier to set the ignore feature, but I hate doing that.

I was having a break and at the exact moment when Mike Vapes gets confused about ā€˜slither’ in the Havok review, I turn and spot this hitchhiker on my shoulder.

My own absentmindedness: I just changed coils and rewicked an RDA and started wondering why the cottons were giving off a weird minty taste. Took me a while to realise I’d been vaping from a different mod.

Looks like you will make some delicious BBQ. Great to see.

My smile for the day was going to an AA meeting at Red Rocks Amphitheater this morning. One of my first ā€œin-personā€ meetings for quite a while. Was great to see folks in 3 dimensions instead of on a screen. Oh, and Red Rocks is kind of a pretty place.

I visited Australia years ago and I was really impressed by so many things. I was mostly in touristy areas, which were never covered in graffiti or had litter anywhere. Australians were very eco-conscious and didn’t allow tourists to harm the attractions in any way (no feeding marsupials, no taking home bits of the coral reef, etc.). The city I spent the most time in, Melbourne, is a large city that was clean and similarly graffiti and litter-free.

The people were friendly everywhere I went, but I think I noticed the difference between Australians and Americans the most while in Melbourne. A specific example that comes to mind is when my mother and I were traveling somewhere and needed to get on a trolley with suitcases. People reached down to grab our luggage then offered their hands to help us onto the moving trolley. I can’t imagine something like that happening in New York.

I could go on and on. Suffice to say that within 48 hours I was thinking about emigrating.

The closest I ever got was having two Australian Shepards named Sydney and Melbourne. I would like to go someday, as well as to New Zealand. From what I’ve gathered from those that have visited, the hospitality to strangers is amazing.
Even the 99 kajillion things that can kill you, wouldn’t deter me from visiting.
