WHAT Has Made You Smile Today? (III)

The girls have gone tobogganing down that hill when closed. But they hate the walk back up. When open, now I think it’s $5.

They prefer going to my brother’s who’s got a slope like Hy-Hope but twice the length. First person down (toboggon or noma jet racer) carries a rope, then he pulls 'em all up by his 4x4.
If you look closely you’ll see the yellow rope.

Ma,n do I miss sledding. Used to do it all the time when I was a kid in Wyoming. We had a huge steep hill behind the house, and we’d sled down and snowmobile back up. Some times we’d snowmobile down the slope and see who could make it all the way down without wiping out.

This is an update on my What Do You Hate post because it did an about face. Boring business but I’m elated with the outcome. My neighbor who caused the flood and our insurance policy to be canceled? She agreed to my terms of bearing the brunt of the costs. She also agreed to consulting with her plumber about draining her pipes for the winter vacate. She added that she didn’t want any hard feelings. I wasn’t sure if she had any feelings so all this is good. We discussed how things should be managed going forward and she seemed to understand that maintaining a positive relationship with her condo neighbor is beneficial. It only took 25 years! You know the saying, “Never give up!”

Well, de gustibus non est disputandum.

Frankly that should be the British Motto as it sums up ‘the do what you want at home’ and ‘every Englishperson’s house is their castle attitude’ many hold true here.

All looks worth of some fine munching.

Oh, did a militant Wonder Bread sympathiser try to deface the ‘multigrain’ sign?

I miss it too. I fondly remember charging down steep hills while trying to dodge drystone walls and barbed wire: Traditional English childhood - most of us survived it.

I think it might have been the angle, I was off to the side and it was sunny.

Ah. Although, be careful around anyone who looks bloated or spends an age in the bathroom for a few days.

Hehe, kind of a last minute (kinda), kinda thing. I have to shout out to @SthrnMixer who told me about the GREAT results he had from simple Salt and Pepper aka “naked”. And sometimes, simpler, IS better.

It was sent with mine.
I’ll be there in a minute to pick you up.
Then we can raid his lab after we eat and he’s sleeping

This stuff is great on ribs.
Consistency of a thick BBQ sauce so it stays on.
If you can’t get it over there, let me know.
I’ll ship you some.

@Pastorfuzz the Dave’s close to us closed down, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that sauce there, but I DO remember picking up one in a flask bottle like that, I think it was Wilbur’s Hot BBQ ??

This Wilber’s?

Some of the best whole hog BBQ I’ve eaten!

No @TimWV, I stopped into our local Dave’s to pick up some BBQ, and I saw a bottle on display, and picked it up, and I THINK, it was “Wilbur’s”, which was a Dave’s brand. I’m still looking for it now.
