Not that anyone else could give a hoot…….
Last Friday [Friday the 13th] was my 20th anniversary
(with my 7th wife), so bring on the stink replies…my hide
is thicker than a gator.
I am well into my seventh decade of living, and so many folks
do not like my style and way of thinking…theirs is better and newer.
My heart lives in a solid place, full of love and compassion, and a jackhammer
or track hoe could not dig up the roots.
As I am cordially open to suggestions [in a civil manner], I do not believe in
re-inventing the wheel, or fixing something that is not broken.
I completely acknowledge ….that just when you think nothing else can be
invented,…….something new and great pops up in front of us.
Simply gotta love the human mind, but so sad how it has been so easily brainwashed.
My sweet wife is disabled (major stroke) and has CRS (can’t remember shit)
on a regular basis, but amazingly and surprisingly has data stored upstairs
that pops out and astounds me in conversations ……exactly when I am never ready !!!
My ‘smile’ today is simply normal, nothing to [get home about], and so blessed common…
yes, it is my wife [thank you Lord]…….10hrs of grump ball/chain honey-do go-get-me
fix-me-a did-you-do completely common normal day(s) of marriage ………and then the
MOMENT………when she has that look, that grin, that comment…and all the world
is great and at peace and in sync and wonderful.
I probably don’t have another 20yrs left in/of me, but these last 20 have been
more than great, and gets more interesting by the hour.
This world is like the Haggard song ["…like a snowball rollin’ downhill, headed
for hell…" ] and you younger folks are tasked with having the torch passed to you…
I hope you keep the flame burning brightly, I will not be here much longer to help you
carry it or pass it along. Please always remember that you have your own mind,
and I pray you use it wisely…for the good of others more than for yourself.

I have been ‘farewell’ here [ELR forum] for some time, busy with
other dramas [homeless Veterans, rescue animals] that have a future of repair
and less argumentative, and no keyboard rambos.
God will judge me in the end, I don’t have time for a ‘tabloid’ preview from
peers that don’t know me, and if/when they do…I am normally dumb
enough to respond…and it always is so time-consuming…and never pure results.
Kinda the same as pissing in the wind.

Wife and I used to go to their ‘performance’ around Christmas
before it became too much for her to get around in large crowds.
We still watch the video/DVD [Ghost of Christmas] , with Ozzie Davis,
somewhat as a solemnity, liturgy, incantation,…decorum if you will.
The story alone is deeply touching, and the performers are incredibly
beyond any norm. It never gets old or tiring…and for me, it is the BEST
they have ever done. A ‘mark’ that even they can not again easily repeat.
The DVD was pricey for the time, and I never regret paying for it.
This day and age , surely it is available at an affordable point, maybe even
free on youtube (or elsewhere).
The vid you posted is from that DVD [Ghost of Christmas], or an excerpt of it.
One of the best (for me) ‘clips’ is the young girl and the kittens…or the
children’s choir…or Jewel…or Ozzie…or……(shit) the best part is it’s entirety, eh?
You already know all of this, proof is in the puddin’…so to speak. I am old and ramble on.

Would you believe, Phil, that I went to three separate grocery stores to find the candied fruit I needed to make those cookies and no one sold them anymore? I almost cried.
