The Bomb Pop is fantastic! I’m getting all 3 parts of the popsicle as well as a nice helping of lemonade. I can easily see this becoming an ADV for me this summer. I tried it first as posted, but then added one drop of Super Sweet into my 10ml tester. I like my lemonade sweet(er).
The Island of Blue Misfits is a good Blue Raz candy mix, but I feel it’s missing some sharpness. Could it be that 1% super sweet is muting some flavor? I’m thinking of maybe adding 0.15-0.25% MF Lemon, as it’s not sweet and might possibly give it the additional kick I feel it’s missing. But before I add anything I’ll let it sit a few more days. The recipe called for a one day steep, but I have a feeling it may need a bit more time to develop the Gooey Marshmallow and Tutti Fruiti flavors. I must say, however, that this mix is very tasty and the mouth feel is top notch. I think 2 more days and it’ll be even better. Maybe the addition of the lemon will not even be necessary.
Anyway, nice work Lynda! That bomb pop lemonade is REALLY a great mix! I am very glad I bought the FLV RWB Pop to try it.
I’ll give it a try! Today will be another 10mL batch of palate-cleanser / tank juice with a random element this time, but Guanabana is in my sights as a solo.
Thank you for the kind words! I’m happy to hear you enjoy it!
It definitely could be the super sweet, and you could definitely add lemon. I used the Apple razz in place of a lemon. Also, the Tutti Frutti plus the marshmallow gooey is making it a bit softer as I was going more for a chewy candy. So you could try dropping the tutti frutti and add the lemon. It’s a great idea! Thanks again for the honest feedback, I definitely appreciate it.
RSS10-004: Pink Pear Cocktail
Today’s randomized flavors brought me grapefruit and gin, which means it’s cocktail vape time! If I had not recently mixed with elderflower, I’d definitely have used it here. As is, I’m making a Pink Pear The Pink Pear - Grapefruit Gin Cocktail | Gastronom Cocktails flavored juice, so
FLV Juniper Gin
FLV Grapefruit Blend
FLV Pearesto
FLV SuMo Citrus (standing in for blood orange)
FLV Cotton Candy (standing in for simple syrup)
FLV ??? (standing in for salt; without this, it’s 5 ingredients, which seems like a good guideline for max # of flavors. What, if anything, can I use to mimic salt besides the old ‘lick, then shake salt onto the back of the hand’ trick?)
I decided not to go for that in order to keep my coils longer. What I did instead was to add a drop of yesterday’s mix (Maple Praline Popcorn) for its Beer Nuts note in hopes of it giving a hint of ‘this should have salt in it’. I was leaning this way and got backup from @EdibleMalfunction (thanks again :> )
Final batch uses the proportions of the cocktail recipe:
FLV Juniper Gin 1.2%
FLV Grapefruit blend 0.8%
FLV Pearesto 0.8%
FLV SueMo Citrus 0.4%
FLV Cotton Candy 0.4%
a drop of RSS10-003: Maple Praline Popcorn
Flavor total: 3.6%
Good off the finger and off the shake. It’ll be interesting to see how this develops over the next few days / week(s).
I do have to wonder if FLV Juniper Gin has rosemary in it, because I am allergic to the latter and am having some slight oral itchiness from this. EDIT to add: Either that, or I am sensitive to juniper extract, too.
This is based on Cantonese Ginger Milk Pudding / Curd, which is a delicate and tasty bit of chemistry fun. The background and recipe for the original dish can be read here:
Notes: Milk and Cream were surprise flavors packed with the listed ones :> I am relying on the natural sweetness of glycerine for the sweetness in this; I don’t make my ginger milk pudding very sweet.
haven’t mix this in a long time, still great but sometimes I get dirty feet vibes from tpa banana cream? just me? anyways this is good, I wanna sub that banana cream though next time
RSS10-007 and RSS10-008 are fraternal twins, honey-vanilla tobaccos based on Cursed Bees: FLV Cured Tobacco and FLV Honey Bee plus a vanilla: FLV Vanilla Tobacco or FLV Vanilla Pudding. {EDIT: This was actually Mild Tobacco, not Vanilla Tobacco}
The former is brighter and lighter; the latter, darker and deeper. Both pass the in-the-bottle (initial aroma) and finger (initial taste) test.I’m glad I made a double batch of each! Off the shake, both are enjoyable, but right now I’m enjoying the pudding one a little better.
Just whipped up a small batch of mango ice with a touch of guava. Been stuck on fruity mixes lately, feels super smooth with the pod I’m using. Might switch back to a dessert blend next week though. What about you?
@Lynda_Marie and @muth ya’ll have created a monster. I didn’t really like this at first but its grown on me so much I had to remix it. A local B&M has it for $20 but I cleaned them out. LOL It’s not 100% but it’s really close. I cant stop vaping it !!!
