V2 with a 7 day steep- “caution” very lime forward until day 3

I had set the Voltrove 38 aside after endless frustration trying to get the postless deck to work for me. Today I decided to try the velocity deck and the shorter glass and dammit if it isn’t singing like a canary now.

True it is a great bakery lime. I love it as a Lime sugar wafer with lemon cream wafer, Nomz wafer and FA meringue.

Yea at higher % I get a light wafer cookie along with a creamy lime. That’s why it works well with the Lemon cream wafer and Nomz wafer. Then the lime combines with the lemon cream. Of course it needs a couple of weeks for the citrus to soften but once it does and the wafer cookie develops it’s really good.

JF biscuit is just begging to be turned into a macaroon
my first try looks like
1.5% JF biscuit
1% FA mild winter peppermint
1% FLV sweet coconut
2% HS australian chocolate
im new to chocolate and peppermint so lookincg for suggestions
was thinking of buying FLV chocolate deutsch, delosi coconut, INW peppermint or FLV peppermint - which is craZy expensive not sure if its worth it. never tried any of these

Why do you say that? Do you get almond from JF Biscuit? Are you trying for a coconut macaroon with a layer of chocolate. If so look at WF Nanaimo Bar it has coconut, chocolate and cookie. Add some almond or almond cookie to pull it towards a macaroon.

Nomz Coconut Macaroons is damn good.
That PAIRED with JF Biscuit, plus a dash of chocolate and caramel makes a fine girl scout samoa cookie. Which is about as close as most Americans have come to eating a macaroon.
