Yeah, FW has some great cakes. Yes there’s some “sugah”, but some of them are just damned good.
I tried both ways…with & without cream cheese & actually enjoyed both.
Same. One of maybe 10-15 flavors that deserve a 10/10 and where i wouldn’t even want to look for any new substitutes if they arrive (it’s perfect, i doubt that profile can be made any better anytime soon).
I may get a new 10ml of SSA Lemon cake next time I order somewhere and give it another try. I found my notes on it and I had written that I got almost no cake notes and very light almost no lemon. I tested @1% 80/20 no nic and steeped a week.
Well re-trying is up to you @McDuckie, and I know for a fact, not everyone gets what I get, from every single flavor I test. I SFT’d it at 1.5%, and was blown away, and had it tagged as probably the most accurate LPC that I’d ever tried, BUT, that was me.
@lukeloop tipped me off to it while I was testing some other SSA’s, and was completely smitten with it. I had a lot of flavors to get through, as was kinda like, “Yeah, I’ll get to it when I can”. Well when I did, it was everything he said and more.
I you DO decide to re-test, post back, if anything changes.
Luke blew it up with this mix, and it’s great. LCP @ 3.75% and it just works.
I find it to be pretty good. Not blown away by it but defenitly above avg. Not sure if i really get pound cake from it. Just a mild cake.i can see the lemon in it being the right kind fir a poind cake but then again i hate lemon in my pound cakes. Just butter please
Now fir a authentic buttery pound caje that sterling cloud pound cake really blew me away
I got lemon, butter, and pound cake, but the thing that seemed unique about it, was the grain/grainy-ness I got from it, which really helped to sell the cake aspect of it.
To me it is a very good flavor non-linear and tasty.
You also did a very good one with blueberry and this lemon pound cake.
Oh and the marmalade one too!!
I finally competed this mix I’ve been struggling with the balance for awhile. Now after two weeks of steeping to allow things to settle I think it’s finally ready.
Ive been vaping a lot of this one from @McDuckie and now the wife asked me to make her some too, great cookie mix!
Also still vaping on his V1 Maple Glazed Long John, so freaking good!
Thank you Ken glad you are enjoying them. I’ve also got a bottle of each ready for when I return to work on Sunday. My wife can’t stand the maple scent but I love it.
Ohh ooooOoOoh ! Hah looks bomb
I made up a mix of 3 flavors I’ve never tried & a few Personal Favs. that I just got from DIY flavours
RF - Cream Soda (vg) <
RF - Orange (vg) <
TPA - Vanillin 10% < 3 I’ve never tried
WF - Whipped Cream (Fresh)
LB - Vanilla Ice Cream
Ricks - Sugar Daddy
So good right off the shake! RF orange is not overpowering at all . I used it in the mod pod that had no flavor for a strawberry shined right through with the orange and cream soda.
That’s why I wish BCF would carry RF. I Only got 10 mL of the new ones not knowing if I was going to like them + it’s pricey but stocked @www.diy-ejuice.com .
Making a new juice that’s yummy. Must only get better with a steep. I wish I had the percentage in front of me
Working on something different while I wait for flavors to arrive for my submission recipe. I’ve always wanted to do an authentic Italian Cannoli and I’ve got the cannoli shell and cream layers almost perfected, but I want to add a chocolate chip note, without the chocolate taking over. Does anyone have any suggestions? I remember the guys @ Developed using WF Nanaimo Bar really low (.5-.75) to achieve a chocolate chip note in their Jesus Cookie recipe. I may have to give that a try.
I been working on my cannoli for a while now and its amazing. I trued a few versions trying to add a chocolate chip but imo its just to delicate of a profule to get that seperation. Its always just gonna turn into a chocolate cannoli
Gentlemen… Please post your recipes if you’d be so kind when they’re ready! Both of you guys KILL IT - and I “and others” would greatly appreciate it very much!!
Not a fan of Nanaimo Bar. I would try Cookie Bite MB. It’s buttery but the chocolate there is not a chocolate to me, but rather a dry cocoa powder so that might work; it wouldn’t take over.
Unless ofc if you can get Cookies and Cream RF; that would work fantastic here and nothing else could come close (or in any other chocolate bakery), but that’s long gone for me (not available in UK; one of the best flavors ever).
