Blooming onion sounds nice. I thought more on a French onion soup with a slice of baguette.
@Ibewlu24 at the risk of shsmless plugging, and realizing Medicine Flower was not in your mix, I can’t not suggest …
@SessionDrummer I’ll give your suggestion and recipe a try after making a shopping list of flavors lol. Here is what I put together last night
Now that sounds like a nice “Lunch” vape
Well look @Ibewlu24, I know what it’s like, when your mixing up a beta, and it’s not turning out the way you want, you ask for help, and someone (like me LOL), says, “Umm, I can’t help with THAT, but if you bought a whole bunch of NEW flavors, I can help with THAT” kind of a response.
Please do NOT derail what you’re working on, I just know that I mixed that up a while ago, and wasn’t fully prepared for the Watermelon SLAM that it presented (that’s a good thing), so I offered it up.
I’m looking over your change, and the DF can def. add punchy-ness, and realizing most Silverlines are lower in the strength scale, I see what you are doing.
With ONLY the Silverline pulling the WM, and 7% total SB, that looks like it’ll pull strongly to the SB and not the WM. I’m not you, can I cannot tell what end profile you are shooting for regarding the SB/WM ratio.
Post back on your thoughts.
@SessionDrummer I really appreciate all the feedback. Was doing alot of reading on flavor profiles and all the notes last night. I’m shooting for a upfront Strawberry on inhale and a slight watermelon on exhale. I watched a diyordie video this morning and learned I might be missing the sucralose and flavor percentage might be a little low if trying to recreate a commercial juice. Time will tell. I use mostly rdas with a sqounk mod with occasional rta just to give you a idea .I can’t Express enough how much I appreciate all your feedback
All this talk bout Watermelon got me craving it LOL, [quote=“SessionDrummer, post:772, topic:216131”]
Medicine Flower

I’m cussing myself for not picking up the WM in my last MF order,
Think I’ll mix this one up today:
U sure u don’t do a little finger taste test?
How is the lemon goes in it?
I thought that was the first course…
Still looking for a main course.
It has already a good pretzel taste on its own. It has the typical base taste of a pretzel. At 3% very subtle and light. I would go more for a 4%.
FLV Starch will come immediately on my shopping list. Thank you for the great hint. This and the grain of salt is all missing to a real good German pretzel.
And vaping it at a higher temperature provides just the warm feeling fresh out of the oven.
Marc’s Mix / Peach Shnups:
INW Peach 1%
FA White Peach 1%
CAP Fuji Apple 2%
CAP Sweet Strawberry 7%
INW Cactus 0.25%
WS-23 1%
Made this for my father in law who is getting bored of his old go to flavours, with the vape store closed and him not being very into online purchasing he asked me to make something. He ended up giving me payment for it after trying it and asking for more, so I was very happy with that result. Personally I cant taste the Strawberry note but I’m sure its given a nice juicy texture and additional sweetness to it. I also seem to not feel WS-23 as much as I’d like so may look into Koolada and Methol for that icy feel. I think its Menthol I’m missing tbh, so going to get onto that asap. Going to try a batch with less Strawberry and see how that affects the taste for me, maybe I can taste it but just doesnt taste like what I expect might have to do another Single flavour test with each Strawberry and see what I taste. Happy vaping!
PS question regarding TFA Cotton Candy. If this is 10% EM and a recipe says use 10% (for example), does this mean I can sub 1% EM for 10% Cotton Candy?
While your math looks good…
The bigger question that you need to be asking is: “what purpose does it serve in the original recipe?”
It could be adding other aspects that you might not be looking at, or thinking about (in regards to cotton candy).
With straight Ethyl Maltol, it’s primary use is to "round off the harsh edges’ in a mix. But bear in mind the secondary effect is muting if overused.
That makes sense, it’s for a Blueberry Cotton Candy recipe so I was wondering if like the Cotton Candy has anything extra in it or if EM is suitable instead? Might mix up both to try pick out the differences.
Delicious first attempt! 5 day steep to get everything in place. A Poundcake Pie with a soft Sun Cookie crust and Mango Raspberry icing!
Party at Plunderdrum’s house tonight!!!
