What Ya Vaping/Mixing Today? (Part V) 2021 - 2022

Knuckle test approved, decided not to add any Whipped Cream and try for a Strawberry Syrup-only effect instead. Looking forward to testing this!

Maybe it’s just me but I just cannot comprehend why someone would even find this appealing. :face_vomiting:

Richness or thickness (mouth feel)? I’ve found VC II on par with Cap’s flavor-wise, but also noticed it to be a tad ‘thinner’. I don’t see why you couldn’t go higher with it. Maybe bump it up a few points and see what how that works.

Try a small amount of liquid amber in the chocolate for one of those liquor type liquid centres.

Haven’t mixed for a week or so, I’ll post a review when I do though. Thanks for the advice!

Think I’ve found my comfort zone with mixing. 4 or 5 flavors is in the Goldilocks Zone. 3 flavors is too few, 7-10, too many. Just realizing this by my recent history. The results have been much more enjoyable.

It’s that time of year when I start to crave cocktail vapes again. This one is a zesty G&T.

I’m still not allowing myself to mix anymore damn recipes up until I fix at least 2 of my flail one’s from months ago.
This is getting screwey real quick on me! :exploding_head::face_with_monocle:

You know, Rocky? My mom always told me to not judge a book by it’s cover, but you’ve got some refined complex tastes, I initially took your for a jack link’s jerky, Copenhagen and Pabst being your main profiles.

Just tweaking these and testing.

@SessionDrummer Thanks. They are good. I hope I can make them better than just good. It seems the Cinnamon Danish and the Brown Sugar are a balancing act on their own, and again together. A little too much of one drowns out all the other flavors. A smidgen too little and it almost goes away. I’m shooting for Brown Sugar to be center stage supported by a noticable hint of Cinnamon.

The mix (current - 2) was Cinnamon dominant and very Vanilla forward. I really enjoyed it but I lost the Brown Sugar.

Mix (current - 1) I had the Brown Sugar close to what I am striving for, lost too much of the Cinnamon, and the Vanilla was hiding in the back. I’m flipping back and forth how I want the Vanilla and may end up with 2 final mixes, one Vanilla forward and the other Vanilla in there somewhere.

I still don’t feel like I know what the hell I’m doing and I want to change that.

question: I accidentally hit the star rating. Can I undo that?

@ladycrooks So what I’m starting to figure out is exactly what you’re saying. I make up a recipe that sounds good in my mind or on paper. I mix it up and I like it because I’m using a flavor I know I like such as Brown Sugar. Then I realize that I can’t tell any of the other flavors that were mixed with it. I’ve started to think, I could have probably got the same result with just that one flavor. So I go to each of the flavors and read the notes. One or more will likely have notes saying something like, I like it between 2% and 5%, any higher than 5% in a mix and it will overpower the recipe. Or maybe instead of overpower they might say muddy or dominate. Other people’s notes for the same flavor might say they like it best at 8%. Look for two or more comments from different people, not just copy and pasted, that say the same thing or close to the same. I look at my recipe and see that I have it down for 6.2%, so I bump it down to 3 or 4 and mix up a 20ml or less and go from there. I do this for each flavor. That is what I’m just now starting to do and even though I don’t have much time doing it, I’ve successfully detected more than one flavor! That’s a lot closer to the picture I had in my mind.

@SessionDrummer or anyone else, have you ever come across a greasy, fried spongecake that was good besides RF SC?

I threw 3 mangoes and some cupcake, yellow cake with some custard and it’s pretty damn good… Hold your chins from dropping folks, it’s a 20% recipe.

Whatever it takes. Nothing drops my chin anymore.
