Yes, thx mate I’ve got the Flavor Creative in my wish list and waiting for the Devon Cream to get restocked.
Last night I was bored and decided to do the “What can I make?” thing. Well, you know how that goes. Then I decided to start at the beginning with the first recipes made on ELR. It was like getting a history lesson in the world of DIY.
To be honest, I’m using it as an attempt to figure out what flavors could possibly be in an old commercial favorite of mine made in 2014-15. The newer concentrates I’ve been using aren’t working out. It only makes sense to consider the widely used flavors of that time.
The other important fact I’m learning is that many of the popular commercial juices usually turn out to be 3-5 flavors. 3-5 of well thought out combinations and percentages. As Leo once said…
Thanks, robin! I haven’t tried the FLV or FA, but yes, the MM is there to be a MM, though, not for sweetener or mouthfeel. So, whichever one of those is the most authentic, use that one at about 70% of full power. I consider 1% MM NF the max in a mix, so it’s not hidden, but not turning everything into a MM. I hope that makes sense!
I just mixed a V2 tonight, pushing the Caramel and Cookie just a touch, but i left the MM right where it was. The original as written is totally good after about 5 days, just wanted more Cookie, and turned up the Caramel with it.
That’s very buttery and works well for a buttery popcorn. Who doesn’t want butter on their popcorn, ey?
Can’t have enough butter!
Yes, and those two (English Toffee/Butter Toffee Base) work well together. I was amiss on the English Toffee. It’s the Hard Crack Toffee that has coffee undertones. I realized I got the two mixed up after the fact and felt badly. Sounds like you’re doing just fine anyway.
One of these days someone is going to have to convince me to try a PB vape. I just never had the desire to but could be open to surprises.
Had forgotten to put this one together! Just finished mixing 4 Custards ( Kreed’s, Mama J’s Game Over, DIYODIE’s Kings, Cut Throat Custard V2). Haven’t ever made a plain custard so decided to try these ones out as they each use different ingredients. Will make up some Toffee Popcorn next before I’m mixed out for the day - thanks!
Hmm, haven’t seen Cut Throat yet. I’ll have to look that up, I’m an old custard junkie from way back.
oooh, aren’t you fancy
early on i wanted fancy labels. now i have the high tech masking tape
Well, KiwiPete, I love dem old skool liquids
And gee, I never thought I’d see my name on a label Nice work, I use handwritten address labels
I’m constantly remixing that basic recipe. If something really pops (no pun intended) out at me I’ll post it.
@KiwiPete something already popped out at me. Just mixed this one and I’m loving the maple, yum. Who doesn’t love the smell of butter and maple syrup drenching your waffles or pancakes…or popcorn?
Would anyone know why when I edited my above recipe by shortening the name and adding an image, it would not post with the changes? Stubborn little bugger!
I love those labels.
Thanks @Robin They are done on a brother QL 700 printer using white film label (waterproof). MUK was my original moniker - MixedUpKiwi
