What is that dark and bitter chocolate @muth ? I have not been able to find which one you mean …

Are you asking about the actual chocolate or concentrate? For a concentrate I think I’ll need to add FA Cocoa to get the bitterness of unsweetened cocoa for an ultra dark chocolate. In real life the common chocolate used in baking would be the semi-sweet baker’s chocolate. I’ve had to do some sleuthing around to figure out how to achieve these different choco flavors with concentrates. Idk if that answers your question. All of the concentrates I’ve found thus far are usually either milk chocolate or dark chocolate of varying kinds but not a baker’s chocolate or unsweetened dark chocolate. Maybe some Euro companies make it?

This is the food I was referring to. Do you have them?
barkTHINS Dark Chocolate Coconut & Almond Snacking Chocolate, 4.7 oz bag - Front of Package

Lol, I practically ate the whole bag and felt totally fine. Probably because dark chocolate only has 4% sugar compared to 10% sugar in milk chocolate.

There wouldn’t be any tobaccos in that 16 pak, would there?

@SquirrelSmash I’ve noticed you using more Flavorah lately and was wondering what you think of the baccos you’ve tried so far? I’ve been getting back into them but mostly have INW. I started ordering more of FLV and SC to see how I like them.

I have found myself relying a lot on Flavorah and Inawera tobaccos this year (with a few FA and FAs like Latakia). AM4A and Gold Ducat are great complementary concentrates for Tatanka. Black for Pipe also gets a lot of use (I definitely need to start getting 50ml bottles of it) and helps make a really robust blend with Lovage. I’ve also been testing Burley (Inawera) to see how it blends with the others, though early stages on that.

Thx for sharing that. I was looking at a Tatanka last night, a SC, iirc. Since I have the AM4A and Gold Ducat I should give that combo a try. Which brand Tatanka were you referring to?

That’s the one RY4 I haven’t tried yet so I can only give recommendations based on Flavorah’s website which is 1-5%. Sounds high for a FLV concentrate but that’s what it says. It also recommends a 2-3 wk steep. Looking around the web I read mixed reviews but I wouldn’t let that deter you because you may find you like it. I would look at some recipes to get some pct ideas.

Lovely looking recipe you have created there mate and the best part for me is that I have all of the flavours to make it. I shall have to wait until after Christmas to mix it as I just don’t have the spare time at the moment but it’s at the top of my mixing list. Thanks buddy.
