RE the quad coil, it never made as much flavor for me as the regular old 3 coil. The 6 coils made just slightly less than the 3 coil, but was still much better than the 4. I figure whoever prefers the 4 coil is either vaping different juice or has a different palate than me.
I’ve actually formed a little theory on this, that the number of coils isn’t really what matters it is, all things being equal, the number of coils fed by separate air channels. For example the 4 coil TFV4 and the single coil Crown (provided I built it with twisted wire) tasted about the same to me. The 3 coil tastes as good to me as most dual coil builds, but if you build fancy coils that wick well, a dual can easily out-flavor the 3 coil. All that said, I’d take almost anything wicked with hemp over anything wicked with whatever fancy cotton you’ve got. I’m open to being wrong, but that’s my full theory of vaping right now.

Ok so now i need to get some hemp and just see. I hear it’s kinda woody taste at first. But then it’s the best.
Three little new comers this morning will post the recipes if they come up to my expactations. Look at those pretty little bottles though

Pbusardo and. . .I think @wvsanta have both tried Nick’s Wicks hemp and last I heard wvsanta wasn’t happy with the flavor, but had not finished a tank.
The ONLY hemp that I have ever tried is available off amazon and it is called “Green Remedy.” You get basically a lifetime supply because it doesnt fall apart after a month like cotton and it doesnt keep flavors either. It costs $10, but I figure anyone that will try it on my word (maybe I should limit this offer) will prefer it or I will buy the bag off them. I have NOTHING to do with wherever green remedy comes from and this is not an ad of any sort. I just believe in it that much. I swear to God it makes cotton seem like silica.
I will be sending some to @JoJo and my christmas exchange buddy to let them make their own determinations. Like my grandmother taught me years ago: “There is no accounting for taste, said the dog as he licked his butt.”
It is stiff until it has been wet for a day or so which can make wicking finicky RBAs like the Bellus difficult. That woodsy taste lasts for several mL, but disappears as the wick turns cotton white. And, if you are on a mechanical or non-TC setup, the first 5-10 dry hits are not as harsh as cotton and it doesnt retain the burned flavor.
@Ohm_IGod, those bottles are killer will save so much space. I found some lidded plastic erlynmeyer flasks on ECX that I also cannot live without. I’m bookmarking your post.

Sorry after reading this I realized I never let you know my thoughts. The flavor did improve at between 1/2 and 3/4 tank. It wicks even max VG juice fine but hemp is just not going to work for me. I mostly vape juice that gunk’s coils up quick so I re-wick some tanks after every full tank of juice and some after just 2 to 3 tankful’s. The fact that woodsy taste last so long is enough for me to continue using cotton.
Favorite bottles thus far are from The Originals. Square black bottles, and they look lovely in black. Really good juice though love the Creamfields and The Shrine. Some flavors worth checking out (and cloning of course, since we do that and all)
Working on this “Sweet Cins” really lovely flavor taste a lot like sugar bear actually which, I’m not mad about. Trying to sub the Cinnamon Danish Cap for Cinnamon Danish DX but seems like its gona be lacking something.
I have been working on a Looper mix using Fruit Circles that I could actually enjoy since I started DIY. It has been a long road, I can’t remember how many different mixes I have tried. After about 10 tries, I actually started a dedicated notebook for a Fruit Circles looper mix. After about 20 more tries, I threw the thing in the fireplace and swore to never go back to it. I almost threw away the half of a 4 oz bottle of flavor I had. Glad I didn’t. In a reddit discussion I was reading, somebody had done a mix using Sour (TPA) to get rid of that dreaded Lemon Pledge flavor that Fruit Circles is known for. Here is what I came up with. SUCCESS!!! Pretty damned good.
I Give you YAL (yet another looper) Toucan’s Tank Sauce.

Hi, I’m in first week of mixing. Just made this lemon meringue, it’s a decent vape on the dripper straight away, so a week of steeping and should be good for the tank. I mixed 15% cap lemon meringue with 5% cap juicy lemon and 3% cap vanilla custard v1. 
Brad, I’m glad to hear of your success. With that much work on it I’ll bet it’s the bomb!
A guy at Mad Vapes in Columbia, SC gave me a little juice he wants me to mimic. It’s Fruit Loops but no milk, just loops. I started to get some of the Fruit Circles with my TPA order but changed my mind after reading the reviews. Surely there’s a way to make this from scratch.
I visited a local shop this week where a guy there claims he nailed it from scratch. He handed me a little 15ml unicorn bottle he said has steeped for a year. No wonder he hadn’t been vaping it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the sweat that dripped off the jock strap of the entire NY Yankees team. Nasty. And he said he uses Wizard Labs nic - fine in my opinion for personal use but to sell in juice to the public. I don’t get it.
Anyway, I would love to see that damn notebook! Way to go. Once I have the missing Fruit Circles and Sour I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the share, and congrats!

Thanks so much ladies! I will let you know how it goes. It is a foot surgery. I have to have two bones in my foot re-broken, a piece of the bones cut out, and then screwed back together. Not fun, but I will be okay.
@Amy2 I have a question. You are a nurse so maybe you could tell me. I am not supposed to have anything to eat or drink after midnight tonight because of the anesthesia. But my question is can I still vape or is that a no no before surgery?
