Tina Turner…opened for the Rolling Stones, in 1970, with this Otis song, it kicked serious ass.
Etta James ALWAYS did an incredible cover of this song, and maybe the closest to Otis Redding singing it.
Paul Rodgers tore it up as a cover…The Rolling Stones recorded it [forget the (early) album name] , Martina McBride made it as sexy as you can get !!! Dana Fuchs put the soul back in it. Jerry Butler, [sitting on the dock of the bay with Otis Ray,jr] AND THEY STILL LIVE ON TODAY via the soul-hearted music they created together…in 1965…with so many that have covered this song. Jerry Butler Jr lost his friend at such an early age [Otis 26, Jerry is still alive at 76], but I know, for a fact, that he still listens to his friends music [that they created together].
Thank you so much @mstokens for bringing this most indelible song back into my memory…

Read that Zeppelin won the case and Randy California lost.
Had to listen to one of his songs by someone who is truely missed.

My daughter is two and a half. She loves watching drumming videos and hitting buckets. It’s pretty crazy how into it she is. My wife and I are getting her a small drum set. This guy is freakin awesome
